What you've missed out about Mr Samba on that blog is the fact that the reason he was so good at youth level is because he was probably about 4 years older than the players around him - he had no birth certificate. When the other kids caught up with him he looked crap.
I think the fact the club turned down £500-1m (depending on what source you use) has always played on their mind - the likes of Amoo have been sold to the first bidder since - if good money was offered.0 -
