The tickets are showing allocated seats. Does anyone know if you can sit where you want. Problem is i'm taking my daughter and only found out today. I've got my ticket, but will be buying hers at the ground. Anyone got an idea. Would look really bad leaving a 10 year old outside for two hours whilst her dad is inside partying (i hope). Ok, only kidding, i wouldn't leave her outside. She could sit in the car!

It was a Tuesday night, Sheff Utds was on a Saturday so it makes all the difference when people have to work next day etc. United only took 400 odd more on a saturday.
Another instance of Utd taking more than Wednesday.772 sold Thursday afternoon and they are off sale now but can be bought on the day so I reckon an extra 120-150 may turn up on the day so about 900
Just to put it into a bit of context, Sheff U took 1400, Huddersfield took 1,000 and Barca Wednesday took 960 - and by my reckoning they all had half the distance to travel.
Mind you, they all got turned over.

Really, really up for this now.
Having a couple of quiet beers then an early night. Much better plan than getting the coach in '09 where I deliberately stayed up all night so I'd sleep all the way up there, then just sat there failing to get any shuteye for 7 hours. Then back.0 -

Actually, United played away at Carlisle on a Monday - Monday 2nd january, which was a Bank Holiday. So, work the next day for them too, albeit an earlier kick off.

It's probably the only thing I would change about an otherwise perfect day - Having a huge Charlton contingent there (eg - Operation style or away day at Fulham)
On reflection though, it was quite fitting. All of the regular faces who go all over the country with Charlton were there. That small number will have a collectors item of a memory of actually being there (and being on the pitch) up close and personal.
The noise we created in the last twenty minutes was deafening. Still can't get the celebrations from the goal out of my head. Reminded me of Palace away (1-0 in 2007) where it was like a bomb had gone off!0 -
