  • Do you have a relationship linked to your account with his?

Or just buy it under your account

Caught me out aswell. It’s beneath the actual ticket on that page. The current owner is you.
  • Stickying this so anyone else having problems is more likely to see it, or can ask about other problems, rather than it getting buried in the general thread
  • You need to create a ‘strong relationship’ by selecting ‘customer to customer’ rather than ‘friend and family’. Once you have that strong relationship you can assign seats to them, assuming they qualify.

This is not what yesterday’s You Tube guidance video says. I did e-mail the club and suggested it might be a problem.

  • Some help(reassurance) required too please.

As a VG member, I can't find it on my account. I have found all my tickets purchased since this system was introduced, my links etc. I've tried 'memberships' but there's nothing listed.

I got it linked to my account previously by the ticket office staff when trying to buy tickets for Wycombe away, but I can't recall seeing any record of it.

Anyone on here able to view their VG membership on their account?

I really don't want to find out I've got a problem at 2pm tomorrow.
  • Hi, does anyone know if the valley express coaches will be running to Wembley,
  • For about 4th time on this thread, yes.
Official Coaches: Charlton Athletic will be providing both Wembley Express and Wembley Away services to Wembley Stadium. Coach travel is subject to availability and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Booking a space on one of the club's coaches does not guarantee you a match ticket and does not include a ticket within the price.

VG membership doesn’t show anywhere, if it was linked before then it’s linked now
    Thank you @fenaddick

Many thanks for this, my Dad and I came unstuck with this exact issue, our accounts were linked by the 'Friends and Family' option yet when we added 8 tickets (we're both ST holders) it would only let us purchase 4 max.

Infuriating (but not surprising) that the club recognised the previous ticketing issues yet then go ahead and share a guidance video that's incorrect!

  • I bought four today, but had an issue that when I assigned three of them to people on my family and friends list, the 'complete purchase' (or whatever it's called) button was greyed out. After a few minutes of dicking about, we agreed that it was better to just buy the tickets than to worry about crediting everyone's account with 10 loyalty points, so they all just got put in my name.

You can’t assign tickets to people who aren’t eligible. It’s a bit of a flaw because it means they struggle to accrue the points to become eligible.
One was a season ticket holder, but the system still wasn't accepting it.
  • See if anybody has anything to say on this.

Here's our scenario. Family has 3 STs (inc. 1 wheelchair one + free helper as a 4th) and wanted (we thought) 12 tix. Neat and tidy. When I logged in to do the job, I realised the helper/PA for the wheelchair ticket would count as a 13th ticket...so... with approval, I left it off and bought all the others and then immediately emailed the club at the email address they gave for those requiring assistance with disabled/wheelchair tickets (playoffsupport@cafc.co.uk). This was at maybe 3.45pm. No reply yet.

Anyway.... when logged in with a ST account, I can still see the PA seat. Other lifers have confirmed they don't see it or any wheelchair/PA seats at all - presumably as they are not linked to a wheelchair ST. Another ambulant disabled lifer said the same thing. So... it seems you need to be logged in with an account connected to a wheelchair ST to see/buy the ticket we need (and any wheelchair/PA tickets).

I can actually add it to the basket as an adult ticket at full price but can't check out (as we are maxed out at 12).

Update: seat has now disappeared from the system i.e. been bought(?). Maybe an adjacent wheelchair seat has bought it to have 2 x PA tix. Other wheelchair+PA nearby are still available.

Sweating it a bit. Holding off the group chat celebration and planning until resolved.

A few questions people may be able to help with:

1] Were the PA tix free? Just service charge?

2] Could somebody theoretically buy 1 wheelchair space with 2 PA tix (actually, surely not!)

3] Would my Valley Gold account that is linked as "strong relationship" theoretically be able to log in at 2pm Sunday to secure the ticket? (Or, at a push, one of the other nearby wheelchair+PA that are still available). I note I was unable to login with my account (as opposed to the ST account I logged in with to purchase) today even though we had strongly linked out accounts - i had expected to be able to. So, maybe it won't give me rights to wheelchair tix.

Feel free to dm if preferred.

    All help/suggestions/info/reassurance(!) appreciated

I think it's a flaw in the ticket site, rather than club policy. I bought 2 tickets for Cambridge away with VG, but couldn't assign one of them to my boy, as he's not in VG. I phoned up the ticket office and they assigned it to him straight away.

For anyone keen to build up points, its a phone call to an already busy ticket office, I'm afraid.

I'm not saying they will assign it in every scenario, but worth a go.

For any non ST holders seeking their 10 points I would say don't bother - the points total will be low anyway, another 10 points won't make any difference.
  • I had exactly the same problem as Bubble (start of thread). I had six tickets in my basket but couldn't check out, despite being linked to two other ST holders). Eventually I dropped two tickets and bought four. I then logged in as my friend but had to buy two tickets elsewhere as the two I wanted had already gone.

Later I logged back in and played around until I found that you need to click on the owner of the ticket and then a new window pops up, where you can "Assign this item to:" followed by list of friends you're linked with. If you click on a person, they are then shown as the new owner. I haven't seen anywhere that you need to click on the owner of the ticket to get the pop-up window. Once you know, it's obvious.

This is not what yesterday’s You Tube guidance video says. I did e-mail the club and suggested it might be a problem.

    Is this true??

I've linked to my friend's account as "Friends & Family" ready for Tuesday as we're hoping to get 6 together

You need a ‘strong relationship’. I could only get this by selecting ‘customer to customer’. It’s not intuitive - or what the guidance said, but it worked.

I should add that you only need to do this if you want to get tickets on another ST, which I assume you do.

We're not season ticket holders so we have to wait until tuesday.  'll change it.  Thanks
  • Seen on another group - individual with valley gold and they don’t have a ticketing account - likely hood of them creating an account with the same email as their vg account and it recognising ???

Won’t work as the valley gold administrator has to manually place a marker on their ticketing account
best they set up an account and then email tickets@cafc.co.uk

Earlier in the season I emailed the VG and ticket office and they linked mine. It won’t display as linked, but they can confirm.

Obviously provide them with both IDs etc but they were very responsive and helpful.
  • Anyone having issues logging in/details being recognised?
  • Looking at Stigs post above my family of 3 all have Fan ID's, and are linked as Friends and Family.

Therefore, do I actually need to bother assigning the 3 tickets individually or can I just buy the 3 tickets in my name only as Stig did?

I ask this as I have, like a few fans, a very small window on Tuesday to get the tickets bought and do not want the aggro of assigning anything, being faced with grayed out boxes or care about 10 loyalty points. Just logging in to create the 'friends and family' bit made me want to staple my own eyelids!

Thank you to anyone that can advise.

Any 1 person can have 4 tickets assigned to them, so you're fine

You don’t need to assign them to others if you’re buying four, but if you do then the people you assign to will get loyalty points for this match.
