I am consumed by existential dread this morning. Charton being everyone’s favourite to win anything is, traditionally, an enormous red flag. It makes me very edgy. I might feel better if Jones and Small are both fully fit and ready to start.
Right, if we lose by more than two goals then we’re not gonna make it; by one that’s okay, a draw will be brilliant and a win would be a fantastic evening. These aren’t Wrexham …
I was chuffed when we were paired up with Wycombe and fully confident of a trip to Wembley beckoning. However, today the nerves have kicked in and I'm begining to have some doubts. Despite what happened 3 weeks ago, I feel it's gonna be a lot tighter than our last visit to Adams park and will all hinge on Thursday night. If we see a return of Jones, Small & Berry I think we'll edge it, taking a slim advantage back to the valley.
I've got a horrible feeling all this build up is going to bite us on the arse. I'd love to be wrong, but the second video felt like overkill after the Docherty one, and it's making me twitchy.
As if any of it makes a blind bit of difference to how the team performs
Firstly, I’m loving the Thanos quote 2nd, I hope you’re aware of the irony that the heroes win albeit 5 years later - same as it’s 5 years since our last promotion so basically the MCU is saying we are going up . . . pleeeeeeeease
I wanted to write the whole Thanos quote (no I didnt realise the five year thing... Although its been six years since our last promotion), but "You could not live with your failure" just didnt sound right
Whoever told you this is supposed to be fun was lying to you. There are occasional moments of relaxation and even rarer moments of joy. The rest of the time relief is about as a good a feeling as you will get out of this, Fun doesn’t really come into it.

I've done the maths.
supported Charlton for 35 years.
My guess is roughly 4% of that I’ve been calm and enjoying myself.
Some mentions of wives on here. Mine has just asked what time she needs to be out the apartment for, she is the biggest jinx on the planet and knows whenever Charlton are playing she has to go out for a couple of hours. Tbf, it does not take much persuading with living in the Algarve and glasses of wine at €1.50 a pop on our doorstep!
Stockport doesn't sound very Portuguese to me!
You could have 20 guesses and never come up with Stockport as 'The Algarve of England'!

I need a stiff drink.
Whatever happens, the 2nd leg will always be the tough decider.
Home advantage is what it's all about and hopefully the valley will be very loud Thursday evening.
