  • Bakinson starting for them if you're desperate to see a former player
  • On a serious note, I understand Hylton being there... ideal shithouse if we need to bring someone on to waste a few minutes whilst protecting the lead at the end of the match.
  • Great news having Gillesphey back!
  • No CB on the bench…any reason why neither Mitchell or McIntrye not even there!
  • Three strikers on the bench to rough them up second half.

NJ has done this quite a lot. Edwards can play LCB and Watson has said he can play CB too so there’s versatility

  • That's the starting eleven we wanted.
A win for us and either a draw or defeat for Wrexham at Blackpool and that table starts to look very nice indeed.
  • Happy with the starting X1. A bit worried with our defensive cover on the bench, with only Tennai Watson there.

Couldn't be happier with that starting eleven.
I mean it might look better with May, CBT and Dobson involved... eh @eastterrace6168 :D
Not getting dragged into that one, maybe Dobson...

Watson perceived as versatile/reliable enough to cover any of the CBs or WBs.

The McIntyre mistakes in recent weeks have made him a liability. I don't think NJ rates Mitchell any more - either be it in footballing attributes or potentially even in personality/attitude.
  • The idea of Watson at CB seems messed up and wouldn’t fill me with confidence if we were 1-0 left 10 mins to go and he comes on to replace an injured Jones 😂

If anyone it'll probably be Edwards that'll go to Centre-Back, and Small could go to Left-Back

    Extreme scenarios would see.

    Ramsay - Jones - Edwards - Small
    Watson - Ramsay - Edwards - Small

Yeah Edwards is our back-up centre back.

We need wins while losses aren't so damaging at this point. So I'm not surprised we want attacking options on the bench, giving up defensive cover.

Every week we seem to come up against one.

    Last game it was Fosu.
    Cambridge had Morrison
    Next week will be Dobbo.
Play offs it will be Clare (Orient)

I think I'd we lose Jones then Gillesphey will go to the central role and Edwards LCB with either Watson or Small at LWB.

I'd rather Mitchell on the bench for that reason but tbh he only covers one role so I get it.

Bench says we are going for the win and nothing else.
  • Desperate to watch but don’t have sky sports. Anyone in the same boat?

Against the Cobblers, Edwards went to LCB and Small LWB with TC going back to the right side after the mistake ridden McIntyre was taken off in the 2nd half.

    Mitchell seems out of favour.

Our best 11 players who have pushed CAFC up the table start the match.
    May they stay fit 🤞🏻
  • Also how are a team that regularly starts Bakinson challenging for top 2.

Like he wasn't awful but was a very limited player.
  • On a serious note, I understand Hylton being there... ideal shithouse if we need to bring someone on to waste a few minutes whilst protecting the lead at the end of the match.
What about if we need a goal  ?  Mbick I suppose.
  • Will Norris in goal for them , hit everything near post!
  • No CB on the bench…any reason why neither Mitchell or McIntrye not even there!
Dont need two Goalkeepers on the bench!!
Nearly spat out my tea lol
  • Baffled by that bench. I can't see a scenario where we want 3 striker lumps on as subs.

Especially against a physical team like Wycombe who are probably quite happy with the aerial stuff.
