Great to see your Video Brazilliance. My daughter and I were sitting on the steps close to the entrance when you walked in doing your intro. We would have said hello but didnt recognise you in the cap. What a great away day that was. Lovely weather, retro 80s away end terrace and an even lovelier three points.
Second one was to Doc I think..... after TC shoved the guy and got booked....... NJ was shouting to Doc....... 'coach him, go and coach him'......... the last thing we needed was for TC to get a red. Good management all game long from the guys.
That's good to see. One of my pet hates is a player on a short fuse being allowed to chunter and get more wound up, with no senior pro taking his aside, calming him down and refocusing him.
Senior players need to be vocal on the pitch.
And a good example which NJ made the other day........ 'unseen' good management isn't taken account of in Manager of the Month awards. Not a criticism of the awards, more an example of how 'easy' it can be to criticize the manager/coaches when the results or player performances aren't where we want them to be........
Couldn't think of another thread to post this on so apologies to those of you not interested:-
Was chatting to Cambridge fans in their fanzine before the game about their stadium....... which let's face it needs a bit of tlc. They said until fairly recently it wasn't in the hands of the current management group but it is now and there's a 5-year improvement plan in place to upgrade the stands etc. In years past the stadium was owned by a 'bunch of chancers' and the club was renting for quite a few years. For some reason (they didn't remember why) it was bought by Grosvenor, in other words, the Duke of Westminster. Grosvenor somehow leveraged the stadium ownership with the council for housing and other developments projects and then sold the stadium to the club owners...... who by then were a decent bunch....... and substantially the current ownership group. They paid £4.5 million for it. Posted this because it's a stadium story with a nice outcome and also because I was hoping someone on here knows the Duke of Westminster........
AGAIN, I won't have any slander towards Josh Parker!!! If any of our strikers put in a performance as good as Josh did if we reach the playoff final, then we’ll talk!

Can’t really compare Parker to Chuks anyway. Parker started the playoff final and his job was to work hard, press the opposition and keep it simple with the ball. We never used him as an impact player, as he wasn’t a goal or creative threat. Parker starting allowed us to use Williams off the bench when the game became more stretched. On paper starting Williams would have made us a stronger team but it’s not always as simple as that.
Chuks is the complete opposite, doesn’t have the legs to start games or even press defenders as a sub. He comes on to grab a goal or help create chances, and use his strength against tired defenders.

They couldn’t have done each other’s jobs.
I agree, I would rather have Chuks 100%, but I just think a lot of fans forget just how good Josh was in that final!
Heading into the play-offs, I'd much rather Chuks than Josh Parker.
That's like saying you'd rather death by chainsaw rather than a bullet to the head. Would rather swerve both.
Anyway, each to their own, I can't stand when he comes on the pitch now, hopefully I'm eating my words by the end of the season.
Braziliance, do you recall the half volley at mansfield and the curler towards the top corner against lincoln which was almost a replica of his goal against Rotherham (I think I'm not imagining that, can definitely remember that effort from him recently although could have been a different game)?
Both of which were tipped round the goal by the keeper.
There's barely a player in our current squad capable of moments like those, and Josh Parker again, like Ahadme, barely had an attempt on goal in his run in our team.
I can understand people see things differently and some may not like Chuks contributions anymore as much as others, but those sort of moments can't be ignored if you are viewing things objectively
I remember Chuks nearly scoring goals, but not scoring them, and then offering next to nothing other than that?
2 assists in the last 3 on paper, one was a complete accident (Lincoln) the other (Mansfield) a very simple pass to Tyreece who did all the hard work and got a great individual goal.
Just saying it as I see it.
But he had to be in the position to make those passes. You've really got it in for the bloke and it's coming across a bit strange, he sets 2 goals up in 3 and you even poke holes in that.
He is giving what he can when his body is clearly letting him down which is commendable comsidering the shit we have walk through the doors. Sure, he isn't the Chuks of old but give him a break.
True, but earlier in the season Gillespie was getting into difficulties because he kept trying to out muscle opponents and failing, ending up out of position. Chuks is so intent on battling the player, he gets out of position for doing what he’s there for, score goals. It’s not that he shouldn’t do it, it’s that he needs to know when to back off a bit.

Thank you mate, I'll be wearing a cap for the foreseeable as my hair is at a weird length where there's not much I can do with it 😂
It was a lovely day, amazing what a bit of hot weather and a positive football result can do for the spirits!

Excellent video as always Braziliance, will try and seek you out to thank you for all your efforts this season. Maybe to improve your singing of Sway listen to the Bobby Rydell version from the 60's (my type of music)

Quite common hair transplants these days I hear.
It's the opposite, there's so much of it and it's so thick that it just gets in the way.

Cheers mate, I'd like to meet ya, unfortunately I can't sing at all, but God loves a trier.
Never good to see a smallish club (although one with a bit of form in the past) relegated, BUT survival of the fittest and richest is the name of the trick nowadays
