    Where was that said
Just seen the quote from Rich Cawley

Nathan Jones on transfers: "What we probably want to do is add, at least one body. We know the position we need it. Maybe to do that, we want to make sure our numbers are good.

"The club have been amazing in backing us and they then trusted us to put players out, developing the assets. We have done that. Gassan has got a really good move and started really well. Alex Mitchell has got a move. Kaheim has gone and is in a wonderful place there.

"It is important if they are not going to impact on us now, it is important we keep developing the asset and sending them to the right clubs." #cafc

    Centre back or wing back?
Surely a wingback since weve been linked with Fukuda and had Lembikisa on trial with us for weeks before opting not to sign him from what it looks like. Burke is fit as well now so we’re back to having 6 centrebacks but no natural cover for Apter besides Fullah/Rylah seeing how Jones views JRC as a CM and Ramsay as a RCB

We are nearly done unless we get an injury in the next couple of weeks for incomings.
Kaminski Mannion Ramsey Jones Bell Gillesphey Edwards Coventry Rankin-Costello Apter Anderson Berry Docherty Carey Campbell Leaburn Olaofe Kelman Knibbs Godden  20 possible match day squad.

Plus any of the below could do a decent job in the matchday squad if needed.
    Kanu Fullah Z.Mitchell Burke

Mbick Enslin and Rylah to get loans if Jones and coaches believe they would benefit at this stage to play men's football other than U21.

AMB to get a loan at League 2 with a quick recall if either of Thomas or Will get injured.
AMB is good enough for midtable league 1 I'd have thought but whether anyone needs a keeper at this point is another matter.

Yeah all the league 1 clubs are queuing up to sign him :)

I wouldn’t hate someone like Freddie Potts on loan if we could swing it and West Ham aren’t going to use him. Get his older brother to put a word in.
  • Interesting that he says at least one body. I'd be surprised if we sign more than one, but it certainly sounds like a possibility.

A loan or two might make sense, rather than signing a backup permanent signing.

You don't think he's good enough for that level? I know there's one poster on here that thinks he's Sunday League level, if that, but I think more would say he'd be suitable in league one for a mid to lower half team.
I doubt many teams need a first choice keeper by now.

Covering his back in case a great option comes up/someone gets injured

Fair enough. Expect the longer he's with us as third choice the more likely it'll be league 2. Surprised he's happy to stay really.
  • Surprised Sheffield Wednesday haven't tried to emergency sign AMB. Sounds like they're signing Ethan Horvath from Cardiff instead.

If Asiimwe is as highly thought of as it seems, a loan RB/RWB could make sense for this year in order to then have Asiimwe and Apter as options on the right next season?  A permanent LWB as competition for Edwards would make sense

Agreed - one that could play somewhere else would be good - a talented Edun

Or we loan out Z Mitchell so bring in a CB as well as a WB

Would you really want us to loan AMB to a team we’re hoping will fill one of the relegation spots?

    Yes!
  • Has JRS gone anywhere yet? Impossible dream but what a great sig.ning on lian he would be. I thought he was going to Rangers but that seems to have not happened.
