  • We await @Goddenole ‘s insight. He got it right with Kelman and the Asian link - want hear what they have to say re: Knibbs.
Pretty sure they said last night that he had done running drills post Ipswich and had definitely signed so their source is off this time

I reckon Reading have upped the price
..and one of Preston/Wrexham/Sheffied Utd said that they would pay it
  • ‘Between clubs’ sounds like it’s Reading moving the goalposts?
I read a comment online from someone supposedly "ITK" suggesting that Reading were milking as much as they could from the deal to aid their own transfer business. Maybe we walked away.
Risky game to play, didn’t seem like that many other clubs are in for him
  • No Nibbles then?
  • We await @Goddenole ‘s insight. He got it right with Kelman and the Asian link - want hear what they have to say re: Knibbs.
And of those three, only Kelman in the bag so far. I don't know for sure but in a highly competitive, fast moving sport, it does seem to highlight the risk of early leaks. Fans can be their own worst enemy sometimes.
  • So no one knows. A mix of proposed ITKs saying Knibbs turned it down, failed medical or Reading turning it down. Wait and see, nobody knows.

Exactly.  There was always the chance once the rumours started.
Said this yesterday and got ridiculed.
    We don’t know that’s true yet .

If so, i'm glad we have told them to fu*k right orf..
  • Harvey Knobbs amirite???
  • Two many different stories being banded around, Hunt has made it sound like it was Knibbs choice or along the lines of it wasn’t right? Reading press saying the clubs couldn’t agree, let’s wait to hear. Very disappointing but we will move on to other targets, hoping Donley is on the list.
  • Maybe other clubs thought we were skint as many journalists appear to have thought.
The Kelman signing may have pricked Readings ears and they got silly with the asking price all of a sudden.
    We move on
  • Some reading fans speculating he failed his medical, apparently been struggling with his knee

So either off to PNE or he injured himself running abouts on the pitch last night…🤔,thats not gospel by way…🫣
If there another club it will be Sheff Utd .. don’t think this one over yet

  • But we’ve been told he signed and it was just a delay in announcing it.
The same bloke who said that  dREAM(s) he’d signed .

Yeah maybe a failed medical. Kinda hope it is that rather than him turning us down.
I would be very surprised if he failed a medical based on some of the players that have got through the net here even recently.

He's been ever present for 4 seasons, passed medicals with Cambridge and Reading.

Will be interesting to see if we find out more or it will be left there. I hope it's something that isn't completely dead and a deal that can still be made, but that seems very unlikely, not something that happens often in football.

This is tough, that would have been the business of the summer and he was everything we needed in this team, have to hope we have alternatives now

Apparently has a knee issue but yeah gutted about this one falling through, just as everything was looking up.
But come on, Burke is made of glass (already injured) and Bell has just come back from an injury, plus Potts managed to get through a medical.

Even if something did flag up, surely it can be 'managed' like we have done with other players, especially for one that's made almost 200 apps in 4 seasons.

It was all reported that Reading had agreed a fee so it would be cheeky if Reading upping their price was the reason.

Ah well, on with the day, cakes on offer at Tesco, that seems like a good idea for now.

TV gif Martin Starr as Bill Haverchuck in Freaks and Geeks flashes a wide smile for a yearbook photo then drops it awkwardly

Well he claimed he was training with us after the Ipswich game and that's clearly false

Reading fans saying he failed medical due to his existing knee problem ??

Yes but the other two didn't cost as much.

not played yet in pre season, last couple because he was said to be in talks, but the first couple were because of a niggle I'd read.
