With 9 subs I don't think tiring defences at Champ level would want to see an ice hockey style line change up top where you could potentially switch Apter,Godden and TC for Dixon Leaburn and Tanto.
Do think the other striker we bring in will be another target man type
I don’t know why, but I have a feeling that the striker may come from outside of the English leagues.
That Lithuanian lad disappeared quickly from the rumour mill didn't he? - Only just remembered him from your comment, not that Id necessarily expect it to be him.

I think there will be some outgoings now and agree we need another striker ,but this would mean Kanu and or M'Bick move on loan.
Also one or both of the Mitchell's will depart although let's remember we need nine subs rather than seven and if we are playing with three centre backs we need extra cover.
I have matched the seven senior new signings with the departures , plus an extra place for Bennette who was due to join from Sunderland but the deal fell through on deadline day
I have matched Apter against the Bennette gap rather than Small and JRC as Tennai Watson's replacement although some believe he might play in midfield.
Maybe Bell's versatility and Enslin's potential ensures cover for LWB.
I feel we at the very least still need another Right Wing Back.
Small Watson - JRC Aneke - Oloafe Bouzanis - Kaminski Gilbert - Carey McIntyre - Bell The extra place which was unfilled after trying to sign Bennette - Apter
Rich Cawley’s and Louis Mendez’s latest podcast, covers recent rumours.
At the start Rich mentioned watching a documentary on Jaws, is this a clue like them throwing in the word Bell a few weeks ago? Any players nicknamed Jaws or Shark?
Probably not, in which case it’s another opportunity for some fish puns until the next rumour pops up.
Below is the NTT20 boys view on our signing of Rapter
Rob Apter (RW) - [Blackpool - Charlton] - Undisclosed
We're big fans of Apter here at NTT20.COM, having enjoyed his very direct, old-school wing play at Blackpool and in his 2023/24 loan at Tranmere. He’s fast, he’s effective and he’s fun. You can take our praise as read.
Instead, then: some questions. Can Apter make the step up? Does he represent a risky use of a reported £2m-plus? Do Charlton want him in the dual role played by Thierry Small last season, defending as a wing-back in a 5-3-2 and attacking as a winger in a 4-3-3? Apter’s starting positions at Blackpool were often pretty deep – one effect of playing in Steve Bruce’s 4-4-2 rather than in a front three – but using him as a hybrid wing-back would be ballsy for a side who’ll be underdogs in most games this season.
Furthermore, Apter might not be able to reach his positions of potency as regularly in the Championship, not just because of that deeper starting point but because of the division’s increased physicality and Charlton’s status within it. While the 22-year-old’s shot selection is remarkably consistent, with his shot maps featuring the chunkiest clusters outside of a breakfast cereal, he may lack power in direct battles with Championship defenders.
Apter's shot maps in 2023/24 (League Two) and 2024/25 (League One)
But players change. Players improve. And although another year in League One may have been preferable, Apter has earned the right to prove himself in the second tier

It's been great window so far if we can get in the last 3 I think we need it will have been perfect. Being greedy what I'd love to see is a striker signed from abroad not because it's the best option simply because it will be bloody exciting and hopefully good fun... we've not had an exotic foreign signing for ages, not since Ronnie Schwartz

Sonny Fish is currently a free agent and a striker. He's 21 and could be a catch.
Jones likes Anderson a lot. He’s energetic and willing. He’s young and is learning and will learn. I think this coming season we’ll see him ever present on the bench but he’ll get minutes of that I’m sure.
Anderson starting games = bad. Anderson coming as a substitute = good.
Not sarcasm, the difference is night and day in his performances depending on whether he starts or not, he should definitely be used as an option from it.
Anderson League 1 loan = perfect. He’s got too much to learn yet. Needs to have a full season as a starter. Just my opinion.
Anderson started against Huddersfield at home which I think was our best overall performance of the season. Actually of quite a few seasons.

... on second thoughts, forget that idea
