Do you think (despite Famewo, who would be the obvs link) we would try and capitalise on the Sheffield Wednesday situation (by trying to sign any of their other players) ?
Well we have the perfect man in CP to advise us despite the failure of the Spurs youngster.
I know the promotion comment is tongue in cheek, but I don't feel wholly convinced about the Kaminski signing.
Shipped 68 goals in a defensively dreadful Luton side last season, and has now been goalkeeper for back to back relegations.
Per Fotmob, his save percentage in the Champ last season was 65.3%. Mannion's, for what it's worth, was 67.1%. Kaminski's goals prevented last season was -6.0 too, which was the worst of any Champ keeper in 24/25.
Will be good to have an experienced goalkeeper in the ranks for sure, but I have concerns that his career seems to be on a bit of a downward rather than upward trajectory.

Interesting though that Luton fans don’t seem to blame him at all.

Luckily we are not defensively dreadful so it should hopefully be a very different outcome for him.
In 2023 he was deemed good enough to earn a move from the Championship to the Premiership after impressing for Blackburn, only 2 years later he still should be in his prime age wise. I really don't think you can look at save percentages and judge a keeper off that when there are so many variables depending on how poor your defence is.
Looked on their forum and a couple of salty posts with a you tube vid saying good luck Charlton with a Dracula comment, the goal he conceded consisted of the worst defending I've ever seen and a free header with no one marking at all.
Scott Carson was our player of the year in a relegation season too. Relegation isn’t solely down to a goalkeeper. Luton especially had a ton of problems, and still do.
Interestingly, Arif Can Yıldız, a sports editor at Ajansspor, says that Kaminski dodged Antalyaspor due to management uncertainties.... has he ever heard of Charlton Athletic?
Our Championship rivals have signed a keeper who failed to impress at L1 mid-table Rotherham, and has only ever played 1 full season at any level. Make no mistake, we've done very well here.
AMB had more than enough opportunities to claim the number one spot. It’ll be best for him and us if he leaves permanently. I think he’ll be a good keeper but needs a sustained period in League One or up in Scotland.
Was a really weird season for our Goalkeepers last year, both Mannion and Maynard-Brewer did good jobs when called upon, and they each only really got back into the starting eleven when the other got injured.
Apart from the Burton game at the end of the season where Mannion got rested.
Wonder if Mannion would have eventually returned to the eleven anyway, as he was benched for twelve matches when he came back from injury.
Mannion was solid. We’ve not had a good run with keepers recently. Hopefully Kaminski puts an end to that.
Yeah only game that I wasnt overly impressed with Mannion was Preston in the FA Cup.
But then it was his first, and only game for a few months after injury.

I'm seriously concerned that he's vulnerable to shots coming in from the left.
Kaminski is an unbelievable signing (taking Cawley as the de facto OS), and a shrewd bit of business. Obviously we won't know how successful he will be until the season wraps up, but on paper, this is akin to the signing of Kermogant

We still bought him and he did OK.
