Is Fofana the striker who played against us last season for Chelsea U21's in the pizza cup (or whatever it's called). Didn't he get subbed off after an hour?
Nah that was Washington I think

If Coventry gets injured our midfield looks very very light and devoid of any creativity

Nope... No Fofana played against us in that game, they also have a Wesley Fofana

What about our wing backs, the defender that NJ wanted and an attacking midfielder many fans thinks we need?

Fofana and Bree on paper would be the two highest quality signings of this transfer window right at the end. Talk about finish with a flourish.
Surely it would be Bree on a cracker?

Yeah that was Deivid Washington. Cost them 17m supposedly and is now back in Brazil on loan

Makes me wonder if Apter gets earmarked for a central role a la Andy Reid when he was with us.

I still don’t think Fofana is coming here. That would be Rak-Sakyi level pipe dream stuff. The lad was scoring Champions League goals away at Napoli 18 months ago.

    1. Coventry isn’t creative anyway, other than if he takes set pieces. If he’s injured then Costello is our back up, too early to say whether he is/isn’t good enough

    2. That’s not how we score goals, we didn’t have any creativity in midfield last season and we managed just fine

Fofana is meant to be the bollocks. Really hope it's true. If what I've seen/heard about him is true there's no chance he doesn't start.
In FM terms, top Championship level with good PL player potential.

I’m already disappointed by the fact that Fofana will get recalled in January and sent on loan to Swansea.

Even did alright for a poor Burnley side in the prem a couple of years ago. Would probably be our best player if he joins

Maybe you should consider getting a tattoo if he does join... I hear they're very popular this time of the year

Fofana feels like a bit of a Francis Coquelin level signing.

With 17 minutes to go, I would settle for Nathan's "one in for sure".

Not sure we can beat Celtic to getting Fofana think that’s a deal that relies on optimism. If we get Bree I’d be very happy much better than what I thought what we would be able to attract

If Fofana arrives, then he isnt sitting on the bench thats for sure. So you have Leaburn, Godden, Kelman, Olaofe, Campbell, and Fofana in that situation. Something would have to give.
    Six for three places.
Godden out for a good while, Leaburn has picked up a fair few injuries.
Yeah, if Fofana arrives, that's six players waiting for a decent free kick !
Or a forward pass from any of our crabbers…

They’ve had a rethink today. On the basis we have decided to sack off the League Cup we are going to streamline the squad once more. Too many on the training pitch etc.

I do assume someone will come in as no one on the board wants to tell NJ otherwise for fear of him self combusting 🙂

Until next week when neither of them score a hat-trick on their debut.

If they take a decent free kick, that would be a deal clincher.

Coventry doesn't creative anything. He's a defensive midfielder.
  • Luckily it’s not like we need to wait for Chelsea to get a replacement in

A completed Deal Sheet gives us another 2 hours.

    We'll still be here come 9pm !
