Barrow don’t have any so they have to play with 6 subs every gamekillerandflash said:How is the club developed player defined?

Anderson League 1 loan = perfect.DDOUBLEE said:
Anderson starting games = bad.ShootersHillGuru said:Jones likes Anderson a lot. He’s energetic and willing. He’s young and is learning and will learn. I think this coming season we’ll see him ever present on the bench but he’ll get minutes of that I’m sure.
Anderson coming as a substitute = good.
Not sarcasm, the difference is night and day in his performances depending on whether he starts or not, he should definitely be used as an option from it.
He’s got too much to learn yet.
Needs to have a full season as a starter.
Just my opinion.

Probably, and that’s why he’s the manager.ShootersHillGuru said:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Anderson improves further this season. Although he’s been part of the first team for two seasons, he’s still only started 40 league games for us.
If he can tidy up his game in possession and develop a bit more physically he could be a really solid box to box midfielder at Championship level. Jordan Cousins did that for us without ever being great on the ball.
It’s a big if but in Jones he has a manager who should improve him and I think he’s got the drive to keeping pushing himself as a player.

Reckon Anderson performs better in the championship than in L1. In possession arguably one of the worse players in the squad but out of possession arguably our best. Beauty of having depth is that if we need a goal you Bring on the likes of TC Leaburn Berry etc but if we’re defending a 1-0 lead or even trying to hold out for a draw away from home there’s not a single midfield player I’d trust more to see out a game than Karoy. More battling and less possession will suit him perfectly.13
-
I think it comes down to what is best for the squad versus what is best for Karoy and how NJ uses him. If he is primarily used as a sub every third week or so with 10 minutes left to press and provide energy, that is a good thing for the club as he fills a need but might not be the best thing for Karoys development. If NJ plays him most weeks, mainly as a sub but occasionally as a starter, I think it is still a net positive for his developmentShootersHillGuru said:

Karoy will be the surprise package this season and I reckon will finish in our Top 5 Statbank marks at end of season. Bookmark this comment, Karoy will have a great season 👍000__Jaaaaay__000 said:Not saying he is a complete dud but to expect doc and Karoy to be better in the championship is blind optimism, especially with Karoy. Karoy thrives on scrappy games and that won’t happen as often in the championship as it does in league 1. So just intrigued to know how we are expecting both doc and Karoy to suit the championship better?28 -
Please God give us a signing....or at least a decent rumour.
Pages upon pages of people talking about fees for Lookman or if Anderson is a Championship player.
Make it stop !11 -

Blackpool fan in peace ✌🏼
Think you’ve got a better deal than us personally and see no reason why Robbie won’t continue his progression and be a big hit in the Championship.
Seen a lot of stuff posted online about him not being good enough for the championship, not arsed about him leaving ect rubbish.i was never a huge Carey fan and I think he will struggle (only my opinion) but Apter won’t.
Such a joy to watch at times last season when he’s in full flow he’s very hard to defend against.funnily enough one of his worst performances came in the 1st half away at Stevenage,he was poor for his standards.he deserved to be brought off to be honest,he came out second half and scored a hatrick.
The 2m quoted could well look a bargain come the end of the season and I honestly do wish the kid all the best.
all the best for the season ahead lads and lasses and hopefully we see you in the championship with a bit of luck.

Thanks Tangerine. For what it’s worth, I look at League One this season and I don’t think you’re going to get another Birmingham or Wrexham, so the league could be quite tight this year. I think that bodes well for a lot of the teams like yourself that were upper mid table last year and with some decent additions, could definitely compete for the top 6Tangerine said:Blackpool fan in peace ✌🏼

PS - don’t feel the need to reply, @golfaddick is already struggling with this thread descending into whether or not Karoy Anderson can kick on this season. The last thing he needs is his timeline to have a page discussing Blackpool’s promotion chances

I'd guess there is practically zero chance we loan Anderson out.CafcSCP said:

🎶What’s that coming over the hill…is it R Apter is it R Apter? 🎶7

Can't see Anderson being loaned out , I think NJ really really likes him and he'll make his fair share of appearances, maybe not starting every week
Will be interesting to see if JRC is seen as the competition for Doc in there or if there's still a quality CM to come and really push things.2 -

Hi Guys,
Orient fan here. First of all, looking forward to playing you next season. Think we will both be pushing for Autos/Playoffs which will be exciting.
Just popping in to offer my solidarity. Charlton are a vile club (especially for their playoff antics) and I’m sad to see you at risk of losing one of yours to them. Hoping you either keep Apter or absolutely fleece them with the fee.
Either way, I’m sure that either one or both of us will be above that vile club next season. I’ve actually had a pretty significant bet on them going down.
All the best and see you this season8 -

Breaking news! Apter finally gets announced today. If not tune in tomorrow and the next day and the next until he finally does. Be gutted if after all this he’s a pile of 💩.7

The thing is about Anderson is the player he is developing into is great on the ball. He is a one touch passer. Anybody who saw him in the youths must know that. He got worked out a bit but didn't compromise his game, it just didn't work so well for a while but this happens and as he adapts to the level you will see that it isn't just his workrate and box to box style. He is a Premier league player in the making.16

Funny you say that, I was talking to a scout yesterday and he was saying about how he’s surprised Anderson is still there as he had so many opportunities to go to cat A / prem clubs but I said I was shocked by that as his passing is so poor, he really rates him or atleast used too.MuttleyCAFC said:The thing is about Anderson is the player he is devekoping into is great on the ball. Yeah I'd heard similar from people outside the club that he is incredibly highly thought of. Definitely had Man United after him before he turned pro with us.Yann897 said:

Even though I am adding to it without this being any rumours…
Got to say I would love to know how many of our supporters have regularly watched the Championship recently considering our position being a league below until now.
The game isn’t as possession based as it was a few years ago. The clubs who often do really well, other than ones like Leeds being an outlier, don’t actually play loads of football. It’s the ones who keep things tight and don’t concede many that outperform those who aim to keep the ball and score more goals.
Sure, we need to improve our quality at the top end and score more ourselves but I think it might surprise some people, if we are able to keep clean sheets fairly regularly, not as many as last season, but regularly regardless, we will do better than some expect.24 -
Is today the day....R.Apter runs down the wing for me...
13 -
Interesting you mention that, NTT20 have posted an article about that on Substack this morning. Hopefully that suits us and the football is more entertaining in general without teams tapping the ball around at the back.Sage said:Even though I am adding to it without this being any rumours…

If that goes through there'll be another £0.5m added to DKD's asking price.ValleyGary said:Still blows my mind that Lookman could be going to Inter for 40m when you think where he come from.
Great story and credit to our youth system and local talent.0 -
That, CafcSCP, is probably the most honest post I have ever seen, and in stark contrast to those who lose their rag because of the opinions of others.CafcSCP said:

Not a rumour specifically to us, but could be worth filling a loan spot?
