Do you have any memories of using Charlton Lido – legitimately or otherwise? Were you one of the youngsters who used to scale the walls and have a dip when it was closed in the Nineties, or did you use it for skateboarding in the Seventies or Eighties? I would like to hear from you.
I have no pictures, sorry, but the lido played a large part of my teenage years, until my accident there that I have mentioned before. A shame it is no more. If you only want photos mods, then remove my comment
I did all of those things in the 70s. Paid to get in, climbed the walls before they put anti climb paint and then spikes on top, also went in legitimately for free as you could if you went before 9am (had to leave when it opened, so you didn't get long!). Also skateboarded there. Used the changing rooms in the 90S on numerous occasions before Sunday football in Hornfair Park. I was there the day a boy from my primary school unfortunately drowned.

The same. Easy to bunk in to but always freezing water.

How many avoided walking in the shallow water upon entry, by stepping around the side?
