CAST are delighted that Jack Belton (winner of The Steve Clarke Trophy last year) and Sam Washington-Amoah will be joining Academy Manager Tom Pell for a Q&A on Thursday April 10th at 7pm.
Both have represented the under 18s this season and both played in the under 17 team that beat Manchester United 2-1 in the semi final of The Premier League Cup two weeks ago. Jack captained the team which qualified for the final against Spurs (venue and date to be arranged). The result and performance once again underlined the extraordinary and continuing achievements of the CAFC Academy.
Tom Pell took over from Steve Avory in October last year and it will be fascinating to learn how he sees his new role and what (if any) changes he has made or is considering making.
The meeting is open to all CAST members:- it's only £5 for annual membership and new members are always welcome.Register for the Q&A here:

There’s been a clear change in strategy with the smaller u21 squad and trying to play a similar formation and style to the first team, but I’m sure there’s plenty more that we won’t be aware of.
It’s been a tough year for the u18s in terms of results and league position, with what seems to be a younger squad than usual. Despite that as u16s many of them got to a cup final last season and have done the same this year as u17s, so there seems to be plenty of talented players in that age group.
