I'm happy for him to be backup, but it won't be good news if he becomes player 1004!

Seems sensible with AMB out for a while. Believe Bouzanis was the trialist GK in a recent u21 game. I remember thinking he seemed quite comfortable with the ball at his feet.
    Indeed he was.

You must have good sources @Scoham 😉

Reid has been decent for U21s, I wasn't unhappy with him as back-up.
The problem is, all the time he’s backup, he’s not getting any game time. Not an issue for an experienced goalkeeper, but Reid would be better off playing that sitting on the bench.

Should cancel his contract just in case

Why sign a third choice keeper , we already have two at the club
  • I'm betting after today he's glad it's short term 😆

Does he know the backpass rule? Can he kick it high and hard into the stands when it is passed back to him?

The fault was with Ramsey first of all why touch it second , kick  it out for a corner it was much to tight for Mannion to get a kick away

Should have commanded his box to come and collect the ball from Ramsey!

Perhaps he's better than we currently have...

He was outstanding on Saturday. Took to the bench like the experienced pro he is and really made it his own. Looked very comfortable throughout the game and didn't put a foot, or his backside, wrong. I have every confidence he'll turn out to be a great signing if he can keep this up.

To be fair the bar isn't very high, as the current incumbent was supposed to be a backup and the other, we couldn't get rid of for free in the summer.

Clearly if we nurse through to the summer, a goalkeeper overhaul is an imperative.

This has been the case for the last few seasons it has been mentioned last year that AMD is not good enough so we signed Mannion who is a backup really ?

That explains all those clean sheets

Makes sense as cover. Hopefully we won't need him. Warms my heart to see another Aussie in the team.  :p

A few years old but he has a Charlton connection in that he's friends with Jonjo Shelvey after their time at Liverpool.

He remains in close contact with Tom Ince – with whom he played in the 2009 Youth Cup final – Jay Spearing, Martin Kelly and Jonjo Shelvey.

I noticed he was on the bench again yesterday. Does this mean AMB is injured for the playoffs?

If so would it be worth playing Bouzanis against Burton to ensure he has some competitive game time before the playoffs ? I think he has only played one match for Stevenage on loan earlier in the season in the Vertu Cup.

Ideally I wouldn't want him to be thrust into the playoffs in an emergency without any recent game time.
  • Looked to have some real ball keepy uppy tekkers before the game.

Another reason to get rid of the hapless Brewer.
