    A lot of it depends on the fixture list. I have no idea who Watford played in the run in but if it was a lot of teams aiming for play offs then they’re going to get moved

    Yes. Despite getting more tv money, the club increased prices for what effectively is likely to be less games at 3pm on a Saturday and more games at a time that will less convenient to travel to and get home from. If we are not to repeat the wasted opportunity of the last two promotions we really do need to encourage fans to come along more regularly. If it’s too late to reverse the price hikes then giving something back, which might actually generate more money ultimately seems a logical place to start.

    I think we have all been impacted by the Belgian days. They didn't give a shit about us or have any ambitions for the club. So many of us then had a mindset of following Charlton but without wanting to hand over unnecessary cash that was destined for his pocket.

    We need to get beyond that and regain our combined passion. I think that we may be heading in the right direction.

    Careful - I’ve been down that road - I agree though - unless there are mitigating circumstances - I.e your skint, unwell, have a bastard job or live too far away etc, I believe the baseline for anybody who considers themselves a supporter, is to have a season ticket - it’s a bit like signing up to play for a football team and saying you can only play every now and then when you can make it - u can still be a fan or a liker but support means support in my book and football is ringfenced

    The average away turnout will be shy of 3,000 - Preston, Middlesbrough, Oxford, Bristol City, Swansea, Watford, Blackburn, Hull I wouldn’t expect to sell out even Saturday 3pm. Others may be affected by KO times.

    I do think the away numbers are trending up

    I think if we get anywhere near 11,500 STs we’ll have done very well given so many years of nonsense. 

    You wouldn’t normally expect to sell hardly anything from now to the second half of July. Maybe 1,000 in the run-up to the first game.

    I don’t think we’ll break 12,000. Like I’ve said before, there was plenty of excitement and optimism ahead of previous League One promotion seasons — especially in 2011–12 going into 2012–13 — and we fell short then. I can’t remember if there was a price increase on those occasions, but this time there is, and it’ll inevitably affect our chances of setting a new record for recent season ticket sales at this level. Happy to be proven wrong of course.

    Once you sell enough season tickets the rest sell themselves. We see the same effect for away games, and Wembley. They also have PL football to look forward to of course.

    The trick is to get promoted to a league where you’re going to get spanked most weeks. People will queue round the block for that.

    It doesn't specifically say the amount sold.

    Agreed. But I think, and I’m sure I’m right, that a lot of the people moaning are not skint or whatever but just penny pinching or being twats. And I think we’ve been a bit conditioned into this behaviour by recent circumstances.
