so, if you were a billionaire and you bought charlton

what would be your game plan off the pitch (its bleeding obvious that promotion, champions league would be the targets on the pitch)...i suspect a ground bigger than the emirates has to be the order of the day for any potential buyer (no point getting into the game if your ambition is only for a 40k stadium)...filling it would be the next step so pricing would be key...but then, if you're a billionaire, getting the pricing right aint going to hurt and could be made up in other ways by selling other things to an expanded customer base...and a 'great value' pricing structure would have the double bonus of hurting your near rivals plans who'd then have to compete...transport could be the problem but the valley has coped with bigger crowds in the past and more encouragement to use it as a match day experience and not a 105 minute stop-over would spread the crush...

  • I hope we stay as we are. We're doing alright as we are. We dont need the money YET!
Money is ruining football and its sad.
  • Free 10 year season tickets to the life blood of the club these past 15 years - the Valley Golders.
  • If you a billionaire worrying about the crowd numbers isn't going to be a major concern. Besides Charlton will be buying good players, proven internationals and that should drag the punters in.
  • 60k stadium within 10 years anybody ?...back to when i started (was the official capacity 66k in the sixies ?)
  • Unlikely at The Valley, politically it would be very difficult for anyone to move us now. Even a billionaire.

Let's get up to 40k and worry after that...
  • I think we have alot more to worry about BEFORE we get to 40k.

Let's not get carried away, nothings even happened yet.
