If they leave it till after the play offs then surely players will be straight off on their holibobs. Plus how late can they leave it before getting a date in the diary.
The event will take place during pre-season, while the club will work to ensure that the annual player awards, traditionally distributed at the end-of-season dinner, are presented to players ahead of the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

In the meantime, I am asking our fans to continue to get all their energy behind the team throughout an important eight to 10 weeks we have ahead of us. Now remember, till then (and we have a promotion banner or play-off trophy) no high-fiving in Bluewater and most importantly no trips to Costa Coffee." (May of added that last bit)
Not a surprise after one or two events were called off earlier this year to local groups* asking for staff and players to attend midweek events
Will just be a glorified open day around July time
Expect to see more of this in the future but if the football is onwards and upwards then who will care
*Some clubs have a pitch fun day - potentially this could be suggested for the local groups (at the end of the season of course) to give something back to them.
Seems a bit daft to have an end of season event at the start of the next season, when many of the players have gone and been replaced by ones who weren't here in 24/25...
