I was always going to renew. But I think I've got the best seat in the house; last row on the centre of the east stand just in front of the exec boxes.
The free ticket offer was a red herring really because in my opinion getting back will be hard for us even though I regard Pards as the best manager we could realistically have after Curbishley's departure.
In five years or so when we are still in the Championship or worse people might finally acknowledge the magnificent job Alan Curbishley did to get us into the Premiership and keep us there.
Would always renew, anyone who only did it for the deal on offer is not as loyal a fan as they think they are, probably one of those Premier League fans we no longer have.

don't start me on Curbs. Half the reason we are where we are now is down to him. He should have gone at least two seasons earlier in my opinion. On Saturday, most ineffectual player : Ambrose. A Curbs buy. And his last splash of the cash ? Marcus Bent. I rest my case.
[cite]Posted By: Southendaddick[/cite]I would have to completely fall out of love with Charlton not to renew.
spot on southend.
And Len, your going to have to stop bleatin about alan cuatiuosly (nicked from someone, cant remember who, but its a goodun!) look he has just bought dyer ffs! He is westham manager, and now i hate him! his name even fuks me off! smug westham mug! (not a dig at you thoo len dood mate)

It made a difference for me and Mr Weegie - it's quite a commitment having a S/T when you live 500 miles away, and we may not have renewed, safe in the knowledge that we'd be more that likely to be able to get tickets for any matches we could attend.
Mind you, it would still have been a hard decision emotionally not to, and the offer meant it never came to that. If we're still in Championship next year, though, I don't think we will renew, especially not to line the pockets of a dodgy Russian or Nigerian.
Ive been a season ticket holder since the return to the valley - prior to that there was never really a need. But I will seriously consider not to renew next season if we are still in this league. This is not because I wont be going to the valley but because I tend to miss several games during the season so its the cheaper option.
Definitely. It's just an annual cost like the bills for other essentials; water, electricity etc. A freebie would be v welcome if it happens, and the deal appears to be a shrewd, well-considered piece of marketing, as it surely made a difference to those who were undecided.

For me, its all about seeing the family, taking mates, having a beer etc etc.
Cant see me ever not renewing to be honest.
i would've still gone to some home games but would have gone to more away games.

Is that near the blanket dispenser?

And don't anyone dare call us plastic ;-)
It's a good job you can't cash them in, I've never known people so down after 2 league games.
Friends, football, fun - it's what Saturday afternoons were made for.
I'm sensing a civil ceremony on the cards!
Nah, Len's a Meatloaf fan:
I would anything for love
But I won't forget Curbs
Added with a touch of Post Traumatic Kish Disorder - a potentially fatal mix!
(Only kidding Lennie, just a bit of fun!)
