MATCH THREAD : Charlton Athletic V Barnsley : Tuesday 4th March 2025 : KO 19:45

Good evening folks..
So, tonight Barnsley roll into town and an encounter under the lights at The Valley...
After the mad but magnificent finish and result on Saturday at Leyton Orient, we will need to be on our game tonight as Barnsley are yet another team doing well currently with three victories in their last six league outings, and sit 10th in the table, four points behind the Addicks having played a game more than us, however, I feel that we will be too strong tonight, and expect us to finish with another three points on the board that will help to cement our place in the top six, we've opened up a chink of daylight between us and seventh place, but we need to enlarge that gap still more, and not take our foot off the pedal now...

Goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer is the Addicks' only absentee tonight with a groin injury sustained against Birmingham City, so another fully fit squad to choose from apart from that

We've gone toe-to-toe on 57 previous occasions, winning 22, the Tykes 18 and the remaining 17 encounters ending in draws, the reverse fixture resulted in a 2-2 draw at Oakwell back in October 2024, with Luke Berry bagging a brace...

Here we go..

Team news...

Anderson is joined on the bench by Tommy Reid, Tennai Watson, Tom McIntyre, Alex Gilbert, Chuks Aneke and Miles Leaburn.
