    I arrive at Stockport Station at 11.53…..I think it’s only about a 15 mins walk to the ground……is that correct?

    Travel By Train
     Stockport Railway Station is situated approximately half a mile from Edgeley Park. Walk down steps from platform and turn left (opposite direction to booking office). Walk up Station Road, turn left at the top and cross at the pelican crossing before the roundabout. Take the A5464 (Mercian Way) and turn left into Caroline Street for the stadium.

    Go through ticket barrier and turn left, walk up the hill parallel to the railway line, turn left and you will see a mini roundabout and then follow your nose.

    seems you'll be on the same Transpennine train as me (direct from Grimsby) .. it's an uphill climb a lot of the way from the station, I'm getting a cab if there's one there

    Castle Street in Edgely is a 5 minutes walk max from the ground, and there are loads of pubs there.
    Whenever I have been there has never been a problem getting in as long as you're not wearing colours.
    This is a fantastic place for a beer, have been here a few times when travelling back from games in Manchester and the surrounding area.
    All traditional spit n sawdust boozers as well.

    Just looked at the Stockport v Blackpool game and the sun 🌞 is aimed bang at the away end 
    so shades, caps or hoody pulled out to save your arm the hassle 
    you’ve been warned , fail to prepare …..

    Never been to Edgeley Park before - do you have to go down the alley behind the ground to get in away end ?
