Naming Rights…….👎🏻3

How does everyone feel about them selling naming rights to the Valley? Seems like they might be trying to do that unless I have misread the brochure0
-
I’m okay with them selling naming rights to any company called The Valley.13

Feels slightly disingenuous to have such a central focus of this document be on the Community Trust or am I wrong?3

Hate the idea of Naming Rights to the ground being sold. Am surprised it's even being considered.6

Naming rights doesn't really bother me, loads of clubs do it. It's still The Valley and always will be, obviously would prefer they didn't but I suppose if it brings in extra revenue to sign the next Charlie Kirk or McGrandles then who are we to complain?6

sweat the asset but let's be honest the asset is complete wank outside the prem to non Charlton fans2

As long as "The Valley" still appears in any naming, I don't have an issue. We need as much money coming in as we can get.10

Have no issue with them getting a sponsor for the west stand, but the ground name shouldn’t be up for debate in my opinion. Some things are more important than a few extra quid6

They’ve been here for 2 years now and talk a lot about fan engagement but this just proves they know absolutely fuck all about the fanbase20

Can’t even sell tickets so doubt they will sell much sponsorship at any significant amount.5

It won't be for Megabucks in division 3 unless one of our billionaires companies want to sponsor us. More likely as you "suggest" will be a couple of hundred grand & will go towards putting locks on the AC stand toilets

Sell the naming rights, people will call it The Valley any way (SJP is the best example). Who cares, if it means we can afford a new player from it4

At the end of the day most grounds have the naming rights sold.
Birmingham play at the St. Andrews @ Knighthead Park
Everyone still calls it St. Andrews
Even if it's called the Westminster Waste Arena at The Valley, everyone will still call it The Valley7 -

But a lot of responses to this will be negative as per usual...
"Spend more money on better players"
"Ok fans, we'll need to sell sponsorship packages to fund those players"
"Noooooo you can't rename The Valley you bastards! Think of something else"
"OK we'll increase ticket prices"
"Nooooo you can't do that you heathens, think of something else!"
"Ok we'll sell the brightest young talent or most sellable asset in the squad to try and strengthen the overall team"
"NOOOOOO I LOVE ALFIE MAY AND MILES LEABURN, THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE YOU CRETINS"
etc. etc.22 -

The design on that site produced actual visual discomfort for me. I was really interested to read about was on there but couldn't stay on the site. Genuinely disturbed my vision. I still feel unsettled now. I am not even joking. Weird. Some kind of visual white noise that would make me spill my secrets in no time if interrogated.1
