FT 1-0...Oh well, now for the important stuff next week V Exeter, anything today would have been a bonus lets face it...
  • This is the kind of performance we used to put in against the better sides in the division in 2910/11. Not steam hollering but just a bit better in all areas and mostly comfortable.
Not looking forward to that season then
I’ve seen the future, and we’re still shite!
  • We go again next Saturday. Up the Addicks
  • Alfie May you sad little twat
Thought he was better than that but obviously not
Bless him, he's just excited to play last 5 minutes of a game. Not like he can get in there starting 11
  • Could have been so much worse. Went toe to toe with the league leaders and not our best performance so 1-0 seems credible. We'll make up ground again in the coming weeks.
  • Properly outplayed. Looked like a cup game against a higher div team
  • 7th, 10 points behind Wycombe second

  • Not concerned by that. Brum showing us what 30m gets you in this league - a team that is way, way better than all others. But we played pretty well all concerned bar the mistake by Coventry for the goal.

Birmingham have a completely justified arrogance about them - talking about promotion like it's a given, everything that goes against them is diabolical, and all other teams are mere footnotes. I don't like it, but it's been completely earned through the team they have built and the results they get.

    We move on. COYR

Frustrating … Brum a pathetic team of divers and wasters … pity it works
Not when we do it… 😁
  • Apart from gifting them the only goal, we didn't really offer much in the final third.

They had done their homework on us.
  • 1 goal loss to a proper championship quality side, no complaints. We just needed something more up top.
  • Without doubt a game of what if. Apart from a mistake from Cov which led to their goal i think we played ok despite some of ours having bad games. We looked alot better for the last 20 minutes and restricted them to nothing much at all for the 2nd half
  • Good players step up. Looks like ours stepped back today. We are what we are.
    Onwards we go.

Anderson and Kanu haven't affected this game in a positive manner at all
Yeah they haven't contributed anything. Strange subs for this kind of game
Thought Anderson got in amongst them a bit during the little spell of pressure we had but Kanu struggled to impact. His big weakness at the moment is he doesn’t compete great against big physical centre backs and he was never going to get on top of these. We’d have been better off putting Aneke and Leaburn on and going full on route one.

    What did he do?
Two fisted pump to celebrate a throw in
So exactly what we would have wanted him to do for us?  Hmm.

I just don't think Kanu is ready to contribute at his level right now full stop. His main strength is running and that's just not enough.
  • A loss stops our good run, but possibly what we needed- as in to start again and go on another bout of wins

results elsewhere make the performance/loss a frustrating one
  • We needed big performances from Small and Campbell today, which we sadly didn't get, Campbell's work ethic was a disgrace
  • Kanu and Anderson did more than the players they replaced in fairness. Birmingham just a very strong side at home. Would’ve been a point but for one lapse in concentration.

So much so that he took Small off instead of him?
  • Can’t win them all. Dust ourselves off and go again
  • Don’t know how he left Campbell on thought he was poor today…would have brought Aneke on instead of Kanu…not for the first timr Kanu was slipping a lot needs right footwear

Ok, his work rate was great
