  • If Godden is 6'1, I'm claiming 6'7 going forwards.
That's one hell of a beer belly...
Harsh on Godden, he looks in good nick to me
  • Kill the game off then blood the new guys please Charlton

Second half to the first is absolute chalk and cheese.
Stevenage look a slightly bit better version of Shrewsbury - Get the first goal and then become almost impossible to breakdown, they're clueless now they're behind

Well, if TC had gone down there it was a pen...def got a touch
  • How did the ref and ass refs miss that corner from TC ?
  • We are looking really good. I don't wanna jinx it, but I can't see any way back for Stevenage.

I'd start thinking about getting Gilbert on with us in control like this

Last thing we want is to start making subs with Stevenage putting us under pressure, make the changes now and the changes can ease into the match more

Ssshh, way too early for optimism...🙄

    Don’t do that…
  • We do have a problem in not having anyone as a direct swap for TC. He's done brilliantly again but he can't sprint at them all game and eventually he'll run out of puff. We've been content to let him torture them all game so far but when we have to take him off so he doesn't collapse we don't have an equivalent. Kanu can chase things down, Leaburn can hold it up and Chuks can Chuks but it would have been really nice to get some pace in as well
  • Good defending from Gillesphey to win a Goal Kick putting Hanlan under pressure - Proper Jekyll and Hyde individual
  • Interesting now we're 2 nil up we don't bother bringing the big lads up for a long throw in

Godden is quite good in the air for his height
    He's apparently 6ft 1 ?....
    He's 5ft9in on Wikipedia?
    6ft1 on a phone book.

  • Stevenage seem totally defeated. No complaints about us being slow when the ball is out of play, panicked decision making, no attempt to do anything other than head tennis. Get Gilbert on to settle into the team and give Berry a rest. At least another goal in this for us if we want it

Yeah they've just not pressured us like Blackpool did last weekend

Waste of a chance there by Berry, with Small in free space, shot goes well wide of the left hand post
  • I do think we need a third, right now 2-0 flatters Stevenage, but we know Charlton and football. 2-0 is a weird scoreline that is turned around all too often.
  • TC playing so so well this half
  • Strange that TC has maybe become our most important player
  • TC is really looking a match winner today, he's simply on fire here
  • NJ running along the line with TC 🤣

Yes we do need another goal, because the more will improve our goal difference
  • TC is playing well today. But let's not go overboard. He's still learning and is growing as a player, but he's far from the finished article.
  • audio dead again
