  • Nice one Leaburn is 2026 as we exercised a one year option.

    Thanks, good spot, have updated.
  • What I notice there is that, aside from Leaburn and Small, there won't really be any pressure on contracts through to the end of next season. Seems to have been planned well.

Since when do players honour contracts?

Agreed. Didn't realise we had a +1 on Tyreece.  If we could just get Small to sign on then realistically if we don't go up I would expect Leaburn to be sold in the summer and money used to hopefully strengthen. It's good that most of the shorter contracts are the ones the club is not too sad about (IE Watson, Henry and Aneke).
  • Must be getting close to now or never for Toby Bower. Been impressive every time I’ve seen him play but that’s been the same for about 3 years now

Agreed, turns 20 soon and yet to make a debut which is unusual for our youth, but size is not in his side.  Hope we loan him to non league to see how he gets on there.

More than you realise as it's only when the likes of Scott Parker 20 years ago, throw their toys out the pram and threaten, or do go on strike to force a move that club's like Cafc realise we will take 10 million as this is getting messy.

Many players have the financial Clause inserted that when reached will trigger a move. Joe Gomez was probably set too low at 3.5 million as not only did Liverpool boast about getting Joe on the cheap, but because he has stayed in scouser land it's unlikely now he will go for a big fee and we can get our 20 or 30%* of 40 or 50 million ☹️

If Palace turned down 70 million for Guéhi then Gomez must've been worth 50 million at his peak ?

    * You would like to think at least 20% was included on sell on as we let Joe go cheaply for a much sought after player that we didn't enter into an auction for and gave Liverpool a free range as it was the team that JG wanted to go to.

Great left foot (especially scoring from free kicks) and a very solid player, but I think his size and lack of pace holds him back. He does well at either CB or LWB at u21 level, but Laqeretabua and Enslin are ahead of him, both are knocking on the door for a chance in the first team. I think the clear out was partly about creating more room for them to break through.

I have a feeling it might be never.  Players like him and Aaron Henry seem more national league level players to me.

Still here but I doubt he'll have his contract renewed in the summer.

The gossip was he might have moved in January window.
