Don't know ifs mentioned before: Apparently a Villa fan apparently. Adds some spice to the Birmingham game.

Thanks for the evidence Johnny H2 👏🏻

The funniest or most worrying thing for me is not that it was the Bridge and not the Valley but despite remembering the goal by JFH and non celebration, I thought it was an assist from Darren Bent and not Dennis Rommedahl. A strange mistake to make 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
Don't remember that game at all but i have tried to erase the Dowie years. That was never a penalty. Homer ref.

There was no shortage of interested parties in the 23-year-old, but in the end former Luton Town boss Jones, and the exciting brand of football he’s instilled with the Addicks this season, won Gilbert over.”

Maybe Gilbert, or the person who wrote the article, needs to have a read of this forum.

I don't think anybody would sign for us if they read the posts on this forum.

Blimey, Gilbert could do with some Tyreece body building - he's bean pole skinny.

I've seen more fat on a cold chip.

If he can produce the same quality as the previous bean pole signing Kirk we are in for a treat

    "I’d say I’m a number 10, but I wouldn’t say I play that as a midfield-type role".

Doesn't sound as though Coventry and Docherty will be getting any more help, though at least they're used to it.

That’s okay - we want a maverick, a bit of champagne as opposed to Coventry and dochertys pint of mild

We need some energy and spark behind the front 2. Berry is too past it and Anderson does not have the nous as yet. Hopefully Gilbert is that spark.

Yeah that's fine, as long as he offers more than Berry has.

We beat many other clubs for Berry and Gilbert, supposedly. Let's hope they can at least contribute to solid 97 minutes between them.

Well a very brief cameo, can't read too much into it either way.

Still only played brief cameos so can’t truly judge but that was a cracking corner and he played a couple of nice balls to release TC too

    Excellent corner.

If you can ping a low trajectory corner, you generally know what you are doing with the ball.

  • Looks a little gem of a player.
  • like the look of Gilbert!
He's keen to get right involved and into the thick of it, and clearly has an eye for a pass - hopefully he, TC, Small and Godden can all be on similar wavelengths as it would result in some excellent football

Quality player, his lay off for TC was also perfectly weighted that led to the corner he took and assisted from.

Made a positive impression tonight. He looks like he has a bit of guile about him, which we definitely need.

Was really important tonight, gave us an advanced point to play off and they couldn't handle him. Bodes very well

Only played about 20 minutes for us in total over two games and about 5 of those minutes have been time wasting with Miles in the corner, but he already has his first assist.
    Not a bad start. 😎

Quality cameo with a great corner and some excellent link-up play with TC. He doesn't look like he's going to put many tackles in so not sure if he's going to force himself into the team ahead of Berry.  Could be a great impact sub or alternative to TC/Small if we switch formations.

Corners like that are a dream for the attacking team.

No having to supply the power, just direct it on target.

I've been waiting a long time for Charlton to hit a corner like that...
