Another long painful journey but lets hope we come back with the 3 points. We owe them after the time wasting antics at the Valley. 1-1, a point will do.
Tough game this one. Bruce has his critics but let's be honest he managed at the top level for pretty much twenty years so he's no mug and knows how to set up a team to be hard to beat!
I'm looking at our remaining games in clusters of three. We need a minimum of ten wins from our remaining nineteen games to hit the playoffs in my opinion and home form will be the key. Let's get whatever we can from this one (I'd take a point all day) and make sure we beat Stevenage & Peterborough.
Now the sensible talk is out the way I'm going 4-0 to the rip roaring Addicks!! (I'm joking)
1-2 we owe these fookers after what they did at the valley, stretcher being brought on 3 times only for all 3 players to play on , never seen anything like it , 12 minutes added time could easily have been 20 .
Couldn't tell you what the score will be, but if there was ever a team I wanted us to totally obliterate this year, especially away, it's these time wasting pricks.
I hope we put three or four past them and our team celebrate every goal by rolling around clutching their heads.
I think there is a logic that we should be better away than at home given the attributes of the side. But that isn't what I see, accepting we have won a decent enough number of away games. We just seem a bit less convincing in them. A draw or even a defeat won't derail us if we pick up points in the upcoming home games but a win would really make a statement.
Need to curb Albie Morgan amongst others. Point away is always good if we can.
Albie seems to have played consistently for them now his diabetes has been diagnosed. 9 goals in 65 at Blackpool, compared to his 8 goals in 146 for us.
Kanu was obviously rusty but he can move onto chances where Chuks can't. Against Rovers, Daniel's 1st effort with his left foot wasn't too shabby and Thierry nearly got on to the save by the keeper. Kanu 2nd attempt just lacked a better execution but again he will run on too passes that Aneke, Godden or Ahadme can't. I agree with Godden that Kanu is one of the best at closing down and it was a shame before the Xmas fixtures that he was ill especially after scoring the goal down the covered end which was forgotten as we lost that game. Ahadme's the forward who should go out on loan.
Just seen a stat from the Blackpool gazette today and now I can't see anything but a home win-
"The Seasiders will hope they can turn their recent success on their travels in to wins at home, having not won in front of their own supporters since the end of September. Things have improved with four consecutive draws at home, but turning those in to victories will be the next task for Steve Bruce and his men to do."

2-0.
Conversely, they’ve also only lost 2. Drawn 7.
Lump on a 1-1 with a late Charlton equaliser.

Late Kanu goal off the bench.
