LinkedIn Premium

Does anyone on here have LinkedIn Premium and is it worth it?

Also - how much do you pay for it?  Do you do monthly or annually?

Thanks in advance.  I'm looking for someone to advise me rather than to read what the LinkedIn website tells me it does

  • Did the free trial once it’s good to see who is snooping at you but I’d say unless your in recruitment or marketing etc it’s not worth the money
Linkedin is starting to get on my tits a bit now, got promoted last year and the amount of shit I get from randoms is a joke now, and they don’t give up
  • Waste of time
  • It's like 60 quid a month isn't it?

Seems a waste of money to me, unless you are doing what Southendaddick mentioned.

  • Thanks guys - that's pretty much what I expected.

Occasionally I need to approach someone I'm not connected with about a player and I'm just wondering if it helps or makes no difference at all to have a premium account.  I think I'll leave it for now

Simply use search function on normal LinkedIn and ask to connect - if they are involved in football, they will look at your profile and realise you are both in the same trade - I get requests from Eastern European property developers seeking finance for some shopping centre or whatnot in some Eastern European town I’ve never heard of - an obvious decline - on very rare occasions I’ve accepted after looking at the person and what they do

More often than not they do connect but I'm quite interested in the enhanced search it mentions.  They are showing me a bit of leg and I'm tempted by it :-)
  • Big fan of Linkedin.

Next week I start the fourth job in ten years gained from using the platform and I have never joined Premium or applied for the positions that appointed me.  Each time I have been headhunted. I guess it depends on what you need from it , but the price always seemed a bit excessive.

I was advised that you should maximise your connections and that your second degree contacts are important.
  • They usually offer a free trial period.  I get inundated with requests to trial.  As a job hunter it was useful as it gives you access to different features, but I never took up subscription.  If you keep going on and going all the way to subscription then stopping the algorithm may throw you a free trial.

Its value of course depends on what you want to use it for.
  • Premium is good for free. I generally use it if someone has viewed my profile, not worth £60 though.
