The Duke of Sussex has settled his high court legal action at the eleventh hour against News Group Newspapers.
NGN offered "a full and unequivocal apology" to Prince Harry "for the phone hacking, surveillance and misuse of private information by journalists and private investigators instructed by them" at the News of the World. It will also pay "substantial damages" as the two sides settled their legal claim, Harry’s barrister, David Sherborne, has told the high court.

The Sun settled the case against them at the last minute.
I think, for Harry, it was more about the form of words that NGN had to come up with, and their admissions of guilt, that made him choose to accept whatever figure it was.
I was hoping that it would go to court, because, frankly, who doesn't like seeing journalists' dirty laundry being aired?
I'm happy Harry boy has scored a victory over that poisonous rag, I don't follow what royals do or don't do and I don't know the ins and outs of his gripe but all the same I'm pleased for him.
With the Sun, Harry had said he was perfectly happy to take his case to trial to publicly expose them, so i'm sure he'd be happy to do the same with the Mail, who of course won't want that. I'd be amazed if they let it go to trial, so i'm sure they will also settle and apologise.
(Have i dropped the correct munition to close this thread?)
Fingers crossed
If you thought the half and half Wrexham scarves were bad you are going to hate what's coming.
And "Prince Harry's Charlton Athletic" is going to really grate.
