  • Did he have an older brother called Max and lived in witherston way ?
  • I had to go to a coroners court after witnessing Terry Whittington get fatally hit by a car outside the Yorkshire Grey in the mid 80s.
I think he had a relative called Andy that worked on the councils parks department.
  • knew him well and played football with him for years, cracking lad.

I'm off to his funeral in a while.

    RIP mate
  • His son played football with my brother for years and I did hear the sad news, didn't realise it was the funeral today.

    A top bloke, RIP Andy.
  • I knew an Andy Whittington who went to eltham green school and played youth football for coldharbour fc, which I used to run.

Andy would be about 51 now, not seen him for about 32 years but was a great lad growing up

I encouraged him to support charlton
In his youth when we was playing at Selhurst.

He had a older brother max and sister

    RIP Andy

    that's him.

unbelievable turnout today, must've been between 3-400, standing room only inside and at least 100+ outside watching on screens. I managed to go back to the wake for a few pints but have left now as other things on.

Great send off for the lad and his son spoke unbelievably well, a superb eulogy for his dad.
  • That’s no age.
    May he RIP ♥️
  • A man can be judged by his send off, unless of course you are lucky enough to outlive your contempories to a ripe old age. Glad he was well regarded.
I did not know him but I bet we rubbed shoulders in some away end somewhere. RIP Addick.

It was a spectacular turn out, i won't repeat.

    Just back from New Eltham.

I'd know Andy since the mid 80s and since the Coldharbour.
  • That's a real shame, used to knock around a bit with Andy as I lived local and had shared friends and a love for Charlton, used to go to the youth cub at Greenacres school with him.

    RIP
