Jones has bowed to fan pressure

hopefully they have accepted its not going to work and are looking at a loan / move to cut losses
  • Looks like a sun in the eyes game.
  • Excellent that Kanu is on the bench, as he's the only one of our backup strikers with pace. It was daft having Chuks and Ahadme both on the bench, as that just encourages hoofball.
    agreed

Took ages to buffer in but working now
  • Shame Ramsay not ready for bench today
  • See Edun completed his first 90 minutes for Posh in the 0-0 with Orient, and got a 7.4 mark, so good on him...
Perhaps he feels less exposed in Peterborough’s defence. Mind you, his name backwards is nude.

Three of NJ signings on the bench, only Godden likely to get a run-out and I'm not sure that REG signing wasn't sanctioned by Jones. A further three of his don't even make the squad. No wonder we are mid-table.

Whoever is running the club should dictate that any signing should be 1st XI regulars.
  • Very tough 2 away away especially one after the other, our record at Bolton tells you we not going to get anything there.… if we tske anything from these two games its bonus points.. Plus the ref as well today and we are well up against it!!!!

  • Should be a decent game today. Hope I'm wrong but I think Rotherham will Edge it, 2-1 to them.
  • Nice interview with Coventry, but he always looks like he answers each question with a shrug of the shoulders🤷‍♂️, so far laid back, he's falling over...

I’ve always found this sort of stat random and not really relevant.

We have a new team each season as do the opposition and in our case very often  a different manager. Previous results mean nothing.

Yes it’s interesting / quirky from
a supporters view but it tells us nothing about the likely result in reality.

Unless we are playing Millwall of course.
  • Good luck everyone, see you on the post match thread.

  • RIP Denis Law
  • VFR ringing out nice and early...
  • And we're off. Charlton shooting towards the home end in the first-half
  • Ref looks like a bit of a w⚓️ before the whistle even gets blown
  • On my computer today so I can add extra comments from BBC and others, but not match commentary
    1. Reece James (Rotherham United) wins a free kick in the defensive half.

    2. Postat 1 minute1'

Foul by Thierry Small (Charlton Athletic).

  • 2'

Attempt missed. Miles Leaburn (Charlton Athletic) header from the centre of the box.

  • Started well with possession in the Rotherham half of the pitch, leads to a Coventry ball into the box but Leaburn heads wide, and the Rotherham defender protects it for a GK to stop Small getting there
