Whatever happened to the winner?

I used to sit in C Block of the covered End,  behind me was Gel an Tel, behind them was Peter Varney.  Happy days.

Il Traghetto Restaurant was the first restaurant I took my girlfriend (now wife) too in 1981, aged 19.
The avocado was still frozen and we were both too nervous/shy to say anything.
