Not with the bat. Jaydn just got him first ball!

Final wicket to Klaassen, caught by Flintoff

    243 all out (47.2)

A good bowling performance and our destiny might be decided by how many we can get in the opening Power Play of 10 overs when the seamers are on - assuming they don't bring on a spinner during that period.

On spin friendly pitches, we are definitely stronger. I've not been watching today, but Jaydn and Leaning if anything seem underbowled, I thought both looked decent on Sunday.

Yes it's good to blood youngsters, but I would have played Joe Denly in place of either Ekansh or Rocky Corey for this game. Rocky Corey only bowled 4 overs today, and Ekansh none.
  • Has Dawkins only got a rookie contract? Needs a long terms one for sure

If Dawkins at University or college? If not, he looks good enough to be considered for all formats next season, and be on a proper contract.

Ekansh has done nothing to warrant being dropped and to do so would send the wrong message. Corey (wish we had Rocky) returned 4-0-33-0 and is probably the one we should have left out if wanting to play Joe. Do think though that we aren't that worried about the result but more concerned about giving the youngsters much needed experience and perhaps Benjamin might have been the one to miss out with that in mind.

He's only just finished school. I don't think he's off to Uni but believe he will be more intent on concentrating on his cricket over the course of the winter.

Games are coming thick and fast in this competition, so a bit of rotation wouldn't be too bad for Ekansh or Corey, in a game where the spinners dominated. The Blast QF is 2 weeks away, so if Joe is part of our plans for that, we do need him playing again.

Dawkins does something the England captain Jacob Bethell hasn't - scored a ton in professional cricket.

The first of many tons for Dawkins!
  • What a way to get there too - hitting a six. Well done - what a prospect!
