It’s easy to see why somebody wanted to buy it, sack most of the numpties working there at the moment, collect and deliver a parcel once instead of wasting time and money shuffling it around and the business could be worth a lot more quite quickly. Good job this wasn’t a Christmas present or something perishable or needed urgently

so the sorting office/depot that originally had it for 3 days before sending it to another depot, who then sent it to yet another depot, which sent it back to the first depot has now managed to deliver it within 24 hours of receiving it. There must be an old postie back from a week off who without thinking about it got the parcel and just chucked into the right pile/van for delivery.
Here's a screenshot from Yodel. Everything on tracking is a lie from 10:55 on 10 December onwards.
I mean, excuse me, the parcel is wine I have paid for why would I refuse delivery? Especially as there is a standing instruction to leave by the back gate if I am out.
Don't expect any improvement now RM has gone private, they will lose staff and reduce services. Like many public services private or otherwise the RM is on a slippery downward slope!!
I Read somewhere that the postie fill out the sorry you were not at home cards before they leave the depot .
We had a Royal Mail delivery the other day and the chap was really nice when I said it was good he actually rang the door bell, rather than leaving it by the door in the pouring rain, unbeknownst to us. Turns out he was a manager and stressed how important it is to report these things so they can weed out repeat offenders. And suppliers need to know too, so their reviews aren't adversely affected by the delivery method
That remaining 10% is quite an effort and costly. They're fucking useless.
