So we're playing 2 target men with no wingers to cross the ball in. At this level, you have to form your tactics around the players strengths not try to mould them to your tactics. I don't understand his obsession with wing backs. They're like hens teeth at this level and any good one's get snapped up. Boo, bollocks and nobcheese.
I hear this is Nathan’s name for his tactics

We literally have no right side of midfield
What the actual fuck is this formation??!
4-4-2 diamond, same as Bowyer used. The width should come from movement, whether that’s FBs pushing up or midfielders/strikers drifting wide. We play little football under Jones though so no surprise it’s not working.
The funny thing with that as well is that we had Solly or Dijksteel and Purrington as the fullbacks who were hardly pacy flying wingbacks. Things worked in stages though. The midfield worked the ball, the strikers ran the channels, even when one of them was Josh Parker. Lyle Taylor would run wide to pick the ball up and allow the fullback to push up, Aribo would drive forward, Williams or even bloody Jamie Ward would work the ball forward at the tip. Stuff happened that wasn't just individuals hacking and slashing and then wondering where to go. This is such a weird team

    Leaburn has been very poor.
Greg Stubley mentioned Leaburn came into this game with a slight knock.
If thats the case then he shouldnt have been on the pitch

    Actually might be a 4-5-1?

Ball out for another throw, which Edwards takes long. It's cleared and eventually out for a Crawley throw by the tunnel.

Away from this game, for England fans, Luke Shaw has picked up another injury. Will be out for a while

Anyway, back to the excitement 😁

There was no need to start him and I thought doctor Will put an end to all this rushing players back needlessly?

He's been pretty crap for weeks in the League.

Well we got the ball into the box. Just need someone to head it now.

Another punt forward from us is cleared, Crawley comes forward but Coventry nicks the ball.

    I think it's a 0-1 0 points.

Small down the left, his cross is slightly overhit, we get the ball back into the box again and the clearance comes wide to REG but his attempt at a cross goes out for a goal kick.
  • We have some width down the LH side now Small  is on...

Nice attack ends up with REG crossing straight out of play in a good position.

    As I suggested 👍
  • Ref being a fussy-arsed twat pushing Charlton back 2 yards for a throw in near half way.

Doesn't seem overly fussed by Crawley's timewasting and delaying though ...

Small to ACampbell but it turns out he's offside.

Have I got the mental strength to turn this shit off and watch "i'm a Celebrity" instead.
    Very tempted.
  • 3-5-2 with Godden and Gas up top...
  • Does anyone think we will actually win this game?

We've re-shuffled since I typed that. Brownie called it.

Mitchell, Gilleshite and Edwards at the back.

Small, Coventry, Campbell, Taylor and REG in midfield

    Ahadme and Godden up top.

Good from Ahadme to win the ball under pressure but can't make the pass.

I think we’ll go on and win this. I think we’ll start using the width and get a couple of goals. But why even allow for the game to get to this point. It’s the same every game. The same pattern. 1st half. No width. No creativity. No passion. No ideas.
This is Crawley. We’re at home. Why not start on the front foot!! Baffles me. I’d rather be without him tbh. I think he’s conning a living. How on earth did he do so well at Luton.
Bring Tyreece on mate!! Not with 10 minutes to go.

Now Ahadme wins a header that goes into the box but Godden can't control and it bounces off his knee
