  • My 8 has been downgraded to 6.

Might have to change my prediction again.

I reckon we'll beat both Lincoln & Mansfield. Both teams are on bad runs like us & it will be the Charlton way to win when least expected.

    10 points.

Ok I was in a bad mood after Tuesdays result when I posted the above.
So on a more serious note I think the best we can achieve, with current tactics and line-up, will be 6.
  • After Today:
    Crawley - 0
    Lincoln - 3
    Mansfield - 1
Northampton: 3 (can't be that bad we loose this game)
Cambridge: 1 (only because it is Boxing Day we'll get a point)
    Wycombe: 0
Leyton Orient: We'll win because we seem to having one of those fu** the league seasons.
    After Today:
    Crawley - 0
Lincoln - 3* (need a response to loosing to Crawley)
    Mansfield - 1*
Northampton: 1* (hopefully the new manager bounce doesn't affect this game too much)
Cambridge: 1* (only because it is Boxing Day we'll get a point)
    Wycombe: 0*
Leyton Orient: Play the Under 21s

*-With (Lloyd) Jones being back we should be getting a clean sheet a game (cos apparently he was the thing missing from having a decent defence)

Massive month ahead. We will have a much better picture of our season by the end of this month - how many points do you think we will get?

(Note that Orient is a cup game)

6 points minimum- that doesn't happen I am joining the Nathan out crowd.

    Stand by this still

    After Today:
    Crawley - 0
    Crawley - 0
    Lincoln - 3*
    Mansfield - 1*
Northampton: 1* (hopefully the new manager bounce doesn't affect this game)
Cambridge: 1* (only because it is Boxing Day we'll get a point)
    Wycombe: 0*
    Leyton Orient: W

*- With (Lloyd) Jones back we should be getting a clean sheet every game now, since apparently he was the only thing stopping us from having a decent defence
  • Lol, if everyone adjusts their prediction after each game you will all be correct

    Crawley - 0
    Lincoln - 0
    Mansfield - 0
    Northampton - 0
    Cambridge - 0
    Wycombe - 0

amended from11 to 0 points from 6 after last night
This from @lancashire lad is looking closest to winning so far.

cazo's total of 4 also looking good, and msomerton's 3 even more likely i think. Those of us that went for a total of 6 might yet come out as top dogs though would require at least a win and a draw from those oh so difficult fixtures remaining.

    1st edit to add Msomerton's.
2nd edit to get my maths right re points from the remaining fixtures to reach 6!

    What was I thinking? 🤔
  • To win we have to score, which we Renot prolific.
Draws against teams that are almost as bad as us at scoring looked likely. Though we can still end up with more than3pts by end of December.

    Ooops.

Back to my original revised total of 6. And that's pushing it. Need to beat Cambridge & draw away at Northampton. We wont get anything against Wycombe.
  • Crawley 3
    Lincoln 1
    Mansfield 1
    Northampton 3
    Cambridge 3
    Wycombe 0

In fairness you’ve been correct for 2/3 results so you’re doing alright.

Crawley was a shocker - another low in a long list of recent lows for CAFC.
  • Could Northampton claim another Charlton manager?
  • Crawley  3
    Lincoln  1
    Mansfield  3
    Northampton  1
    Cambridge  3
    Wycombe  0

Tbf mate, if we win our next 3 in a row your points prediction will have come in  ;)

Knowing Charlton: Northampton/ Cambridge (will loose one draw the other). Then when everyone is on Nathan's back, he'll turn to the press about the abuse and then we'll win vs Wycombe and welcome in the new year chanting Nathan Jones' Red Army.
