Enjoying Coventry in a more advanced role. I would’ve put Taylor there but it’s working well. I know Walsall are L2 but they are a very good L2 team. The three good L2 teams from

It’s currently two nil because of one piece of quality play (cross & header) and a defensive mess up. Otherwise it’s goalless ten mins to half time and this thread is full of complaints about hoofball.Taylor, Coventry and Berry all being on the pitch definitely helps in terms of playing more football. Real question will be if it is good enough defensively against better opposition
It’s incredible to me to see this happening in real time. Yes we’ve been struggling playing this way for almost two months but we magically cracked it in two training sessions since Burton on Tuesday.
No - far more likely is that the processes are the same but the outcomes are better.A diamond midfield with Coventry, Taylor and Berry in is obviously a change and will lead to more football being played2 -

Quite clearly it’s a better performance especially in the final third, might well be because of weaker opposition but it’s not just because of better outcomes playing the same way. You’ve been defending the performances for weeks so maybe it’s hard to admit that actually it has been shit for 2 months and this is a better performance. Probably helps today that its a Cup game, Warsaw have the luxury of being able to attack without the fear of losing in the League - Burton on the other hand as a relegation battler were more interested in defending on Tuesday, naturally always makes it a touch harder to break down a side with everyone behind the ball.Nug said:
