Perhaps they can just work the rest off?  Re-open the Salt Mines, get Bezos down there!
  • What possible credibility do the Russian courts retain after such obvious nonsense. That’s of course assuming they retain any credibility of justice anyway.
  • Surely they’ll work out a suitable payment plan between them, with interest of course.

Otherwise they may meet an unfortunate accident?

Given what tends to happen to Russians who criticise the system, the courts are unlikely to be too worried about whether they have any credibility.

This is just a way of making sure Google can never set up in Russia. TBH, any business that sets up in Russia is likely to end up regretting it, so Google are probably ahead on the deal.

Probably saying there is only one group allowed to censor and it ain't Google
  • That’s a lot of washing up 🥸
  • smart move ! Start an argument with one of the most influential companies in the world when it comes to providing content that might effect a populations thinking 🤔
  • The fine doubled every day since 2020.
It reminds me of what someone told me years ago . If you put one grain of rice on the first square of a. Chess board and doubled it for every square there would be enough rice to feed the world for a year. Not sure how true that is but it’s always stuck with me .

    You could always check, mate?
I've only got a small bag of rice in my cupboard ;-)

Seriously I've googled it and this it what it says.

18,446,744,073,709,551,615 (eighteen quintillion, four hundred forty-six quadrillion, seven hundred forty-four trillion, seventy-three billion, seven hundred nine million, five hundred fifty-one thousand, six hundred and fifteen, over 1.4 trillion metric tons), which is over 2,000 times the annual world production of rice.[1]

Basically that's how Russia came up with their fine but with more than 64 squares.

Sadly, multi nationals like Pepsi, Nestle , Unilever, Mars Incorporated, Proctor & Gamble, US weapons manufacture and hundreds of others from the US, Europe and China are all happily making billions in the Russian market

You can disable safe search..... or so I'm told.

    You’d need a fucking big chess board…

  • Oh well, they'll just have to cancel their Netflix subscription and stop buying Starbucks every day.
  • Enforced by who?. Wankers.
  • No it's the amount of seasons we have left in League One bigging up the EFL Trophy and an infinite number of shit signings

I’m glad that we don’t ’big it up’ because bigging it up would be winning it and celebrating like it means something. Oh, whoopeedos, our first team beat your U21s. Why don’t Russia fine the EFL for having such a dumb arse compétition ?

Is it dumb arse ? Gives U-21 teams the opportunity to play against seasoned pros and gives teams like Charlton the chance to play fringe players in something more competitive than other games. I think it’s more that we as fans don’t like the idea of being involved in such competitions because it reminds us of our fallen status.
  • Did it double again today?
  • Russia has demanded Google pay a fine worth more than the world’s GDP for blocking pro-Kremlin media outlets.

Judges in Moscow are seeking around $20 decillion from the technology giant, many times the estimated $100-trillion size of the global economy. If written out in full, the fine would be 20 followed by 33 zeros.

    $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 or £15,400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
