Wrexham Day presents and breakfast

  • Do you reckon there be any half & half scarves of this fantastic occasion available next month. If so, I’m sure I will see a lot of surprised faces when friends open their presents on Christmas Day.

A question…should Wrexham day become an official public holiday? 🥸
  • My Wrexham Day presents: a dozen doughnuts, a family multipack of McCoys and a loaf of bread courtesy of an UberEats cock up. Am now acting as Doughnut Santa for my neighbours cos there's no way I can manage to eat that many.

Missus has put some film on (Deadpool it’s called - not a horror but kids and weird adults love it apparently).

Load of people coming around later - don’t really know them that well, and probably won’t see them again for another year.
Ah, Deadpool is a film is it? Said I'd never heard of it yesterday and I got was abuse from some random from Bedfordshire of all places. Thanks for enlightening me, I'll go back under my rock now.
Wolverine has been around since the 70s, is in over a dozen movies and tv shows.

    lets not be silly, eh.
If you say so, I wouldn't know, never seen a film or TV programme with Wolverine in it. And for what it's worth I've never seen a film with Ryan Do-Dah or Rob Wotsit in it nor could I name a film they have been in (except Deadpool of course which I have only today been told features at least one of them).
You need to get with the plan grandad. I bet you don't even have a Ryan Do-Dah & Rob Wotsit half and half pipe rack, ya dinosaur...

Danny Hylton on the bench - just what I wanted! 🎁 😍🥰
At the end of the advent calendar: a new Valiant!
  • Where is the Wrexham Day Rate My Plate thread?

It was early to bed for me last night after suspending my sack from the bedpost, but so excited was I that I never got a wink of sleep and ended up tossing all night long. Needless to say. Santa never came, so my sack's empty 😟

Why is it so difficult to understand that some people might not have heard of things that others have?

I’m in my 50’s, grew up in the 70s and 80s, and can honestly say I’ve never heard of any of these characters or films.

Makes me laugh as some of those like Stu and BedsAddick probably think DojaCat is a cartoon character.

  • It’s been intolerable over here in the States.  A local pub near me has become a “Wrexham”pub.   Every weekend when I go for a jog past it,  have to see a bunch of 20 something hipsters with neck beards wearing replica kits they bought two months all excited about their plastic club.
I actually think that’s quite sweet. Genuinely.
  • Wrexham have got a personality and that’s literally the opposite of our beigeness
I mean the Welsh twunts sung loud and proud for a good chunk of the game , that’s how it came across on telly anyway

Yep, apart from 1 rendition of VFR & some noise after we made it 1-1, I could only hear the Wrexham fans in my lugoles. Even heard their national anthem 🙄
  • Meh... Typical Wrexham Day really.

No one liked what they got, endless arguments throughout the family... Grandad @eastterrace6168 is now snoring in his chair, think he's pissed as a fart from too much sherry - So glad I dont have to worry about this for at least another year now.

Totally disrespectful FA...straight to bed with no milk and biscuits...🙄

Wow... Grandad has woken up grumpy from his nap ;)

Interesting. Was pretty loud in the Covered End, certainly 1st half, even had 'shall we sing a song for you' at one point. 2nd half more subdued after their second goal.
  • Early morning run before the festivities and then a hearty breakfast. Present wise, opened a new bottle of Daddies sauce

Expecting a disappointing turkey of an afternoon
    Weird euphemism
