Their first album is one of the greats, totally original. I used to see them at a pub in Sydenham (The Saxon, long since closed to become a supermarket) and at larger venues when they started to attract attention. Great band while Paul was with them , RIP and very sad news.
And I still have their first single, recorded live, tucked away somewhere. Mail order only and only 5,000 issued if I remember right. Worth a few quid but I'm not selling !
Sad but not unexpected news. Like others here love the first two Maiden albums and Di'Anno was such an important part of what the band went on to achieve. A legend of NWOBHM, RIP Paul.
Just watched that Phantom video again ..... absolutely magnificent and so much better than watching our team. Oh well, perhaps NJ can inspire our players with music
