2024-25 CL Prediction League Week 9 Results

I'm not often gobsmacked, but this weekend, my gob was smacked. Why? Well, you may recall that when posting Week 9's fixtures, I gave you ChatGPT's three predictions for the week, plus its prediction for Charlton v Stockport. ChatGPT came up with Leeds 2 Sheff U 0, Fulham 1 Villa 3, Liverpool 2 Chelsea 1 and Charlton 1 Stockport 1 (see last week's fixtures post). Extraordinarily, all four results came up trumps. I'm delighted to say that there were two beneficiaries of this valuable information. Firstly, @Killarahales decided to use ChatGPT's recommendations and scored an incredible 11 points this week. I've inboxed @Killarahales to see if there is a willingness to share the points with me, but I've not had a reply yet. Secondly, @alan dugdale placed a bet on the scores and ended up with a nice little profit. To be honest, I am still gobsmacked. 

However, let's not forget the other high-fliers this week as @Nicholas scored an excellent 8 points, and @ThreadKiller bagged an impressive 7 points, while @theeenorth, @fat man on a moped and @covered_end_junior were not far behind on 6. @timken has a three-point advantage over second-placed @PaddyP17 at the top of the Premier League, but three points separate 2nd and 20th in the Premier League. @Paddy Powell managed a seventh consecutive week of scoring 2+ in the highest-scoring week of the season. Despite this, four more victims found themselves on the Noughty Step, leaving 21 vying to be the last one standing. Meanwhile, five competitors shared Worst Prediction of the Week, expecting Cardiff to lose to Plymouth (the result was 5-0 to Cardiff), while @Arsenetatters expected a dull 0-0 draw between Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen - the result was an entertaining 4-2 win to the visitors. Did I say? I'm still gobsmacked.

    You should worry - I'm 11th in National League South and still on the Noughty Step after nine weeks. It doesn't get much better than that!

    There is a bonus point for any prediction with the correct score that no one else gets. So, 1 correct score that no one else gets (4pts) plus 1 correct that others get (3 pts) plus a correct result (1 pt) gives a total of 8. The bonus point winners are listed in the Mini Statbank

    I wonder what the accumulator odds were on those actual scores all coming off. Did anyone work it out? Maybe someone should recommend Chat GP to Peanuts for his Grand National predictor/model!

    I've no idea, but if they were all 5/1, that's £1300 for a £1 bet. I suspect the Fulham v Villa would have been higher odds, some of the others may have been a bit less, but still... @alan dugdale may know.

    I didn’t put the Leeds score in as I read your post after that game. The winning correct score odds on skybet were 18-1 Villa, 7-1 Liverpool, 5-1 Charlton and I through  Sunderland to win 4-3 at 80-1 !
