An unprecedented number of comings and goings this summer ........... but just first two games in, and perhaps we can already guess half a dozen players who will probably almost always be selected by Pards in the league (if fit of course).

Bougherra and ZZ could maybe take it to eight, which may be as high as it goes for 'almost guaranteed' starters.

I think ZZ will be a starter, he had a bit of quality about him last season when it was all going tits up. I know he missed some chances but who apart from Bent even got in the box. I also predict Fortune will claim a centre-back spot, I've got high hopes that he's gonna knuckle down and prove himself, otherwise he'd have taken the easy option and joined Stoke, shows good attitude.

I think Yassin for sure along with Semedo, Reid, Bougherra and ZZ...the others will have to be patient....I dont think Thatcher is fit at the moment...he has looked very sluggish to me of late

I think that Pards has his favourites and its difficult to see him not playing Reid. Personally I don't think he'd be a guaranteed starter for me. I think Semedo might come under some stiff competition as well when Holland's fit. But I would say the list above is pretty spot on otherwise.

I don't think Semedo will have anything to worry about with Holland somehow! In fact not sure how many times we'll see him (Holland) in a Charlton shirt again now given that : Semedo,Reid,Racon,ZZ,Sinclair,Ambrose (well Pards seems to like him there for some reason) are probably all ahead of him. Oh and then there's Faye.....

Pards rated Holland last season and to be fair, he played very well when Pards first came in. I think he'll still have a role to play this season. Isn't he still club captain?

I know but last season how many centre mids did we have? we've got a big selection now so I can't see him gettin much of a sniff especially if this Racooon bloke turns out to be any good (also Semedo,Racon,ZZ and Sinclair are all Pards signings so he'll want to use them). I was glad he signed for another year because at the time we didn't have anyone else but turns out his injury might be a bit of a blessing in disguise the way Semedo's playing.
