Reid Ambrose Semedo Sam

Personally I think Reid will be one of the first names on the teamsheet this season; in the Mirror today Pardew said: "Reidy is quality and we're delighted he's back fit. He was big loss for us last season but hopefully this is a new beginning for him and the team."

And on the official site he says, "This is a new team and we played some lovely stuff tonight and really passed the ball around well. "Jose Semedo, Lloyd Sam and the two up front were top drawer.” ... the plus side of Thomas going (if), would be greater opportunities for Sam.

I guess it'll be the same midfield, and indeed strikers, to play at Stoke (looks like Bent will also be one of the first names on the teamsheet this season) .... but probably sooner rather than later Ambrose is likely to lose out to ZZ or Racon.

Reid is the captain so you'd assume he'd be first name down.
Pards clearly rates Semedo so he'll be in with Holland pushing him when fit.
Thomas if he isn't sold picks himself on the left when fit.
Leaving the right wing. Ambrose/Sam.
Where does Racon play? ZZ will come into play soon. There's also Christensen who's highly rated as well. Blimey we have 2 midfields!

Pards will prove that he is a better manager than Dowie, Reed and Curbishley. As long as the board backs him to the hilt.
