The Charlton Advisory Board (CAB) was announced at the end of September as part of the club’s new fan engagement strategy, which is aligned to the Board’s vision to become 'the most cohesive and sustainable community-driven club in the UK competing at an elite level'. The two elected supporters will sit alongside representatives from the club’s Supporters’ Trust, Community Trust and Ex Players’ Association on the inaugural Advisory Board. Read more about the Fan Advisory Board by clicking here.
Delighted to have been shortlisted. For anyone who stumbles across this thread, here's my piece:
I’ve had a season ticket since I was six months old, attending my first game in August 1994. This club is at the core of my identity - I’ve followed us through thick and thin, and I adore the community when I’m at The Valley. Football creates a special bond: Charlton fans come from all walks of life, but as a crowd, for 90 minutes, we’re as one, with three points our only desire. As a representative of the fans, I’d relish the opportunity to communicate fan sentiment at board level, and elevate the experience for us all.
My professional experience would make me a very effective contributor at board level, helping provide checks and balances and hold the club to account. I work in the Sports, Gaming, Media and Corporate Affairs Practice at world-renowned executive search firm Odgers Berndtson, collaborating with numerous entities to find the best candidates for their senior appointments. Within football, this has included the Chair and CEO at Rangers, Newcastle United’s Sporting and Performance Directors, the COOs at Leicester City and Sunderland, the Women's Super League (WSL) CEO, and roles with the FA. This gives me a unique insight into sport strategy and governance; an eye for detail; an ability to challenge and manage upward; gravitas when communicating with all stakeholders; and in-depth wider sector knowledge.
I love Charlton Athletic, and I work, live and breathe sport. I’d be an effective contributor to any board level discussions and would welcome the opportunity to serve and improve the club I’ve followed all my life.

I think Jade and Lewis are both great reps too from their prior work and have done lots for the club. I'd bring something a little different, but I lack the experience in a similar previous setting.
By the way - when you vote it’s a very odd process. It seems to use our ticketing platform and you “buy” the two candidates you want to vote for!
The most sensible way of doing this in my opinion
Otherwise you could have the same problem when people can use different devices to make multiple votes (Player of the Year, Hall of Fame, Trust surveys) for the same two people

I like Lewis Catt, appears on Louis Mendes show and talks a lot of sense. The voting system through the buying tickets online seemed a bit weird, but I followed through and it seemed to register my votes.

Less good news: Apparently my name is Robert

Who has the most CAFC loyalty points? They'll get my votes.

Will you wear shorts to meetings if chosen?
