The vast majority of away travellers would prefer a Saturday afternoon kick off so it’s no loss not being picked on tv.

Away on a Monday night? No Saturday at 3pm will be just fine
This is a very valid point. If you're a Lincoln fan you're probably not too happy at having to trek 150+ miles to Chesham on a Monday night.

If it is only to be 800 we need to know how to get a stream without Sky Television.
The FA cup hasn't been on Sky for a good few years.
  • It doesn't look like we're on TV

Weekends just means not Tuesday-Thursday in football terms. There’s Monday night football virtually every week
  • BBC showing the game is on Saturday 2nd November at 3PM, but nothing on O/S?

That’s what Southend have, but I think it’s just the default until TV confirm their picks & then the clubs get to agree. Southend mate reckons they’ll confirm tomorrow and highly unlikely any chance of getting more than the 800 expected.

It’s the FA Cup. Having at least 15% of the capacity given over to away fans boosts the chances of a better atmosphere. Clubs that can’t accommodate that simple requirement in their existing away stands should simply give over another stand to the away team instead of using it for their own fans. That, or either concede home advantage or dont enter the competition in the first place.
Or request, and gain, an exception approval for reduced away support due to ground safety issues. Not clever, but it may happen.

Bonne is one thing, but it is also Nathan Jones against his old club.
    99 games and two goals.
Sounds about right for Bonne, but how did Jones get on?

  • That's great news
  • Wanted Friday night but it’s better than Sunday
  • Surely they'll announce ticket info soon, it's less than 2 weeks away.

Southend have not put home tickets on sale yet either.

Agree, cheap split train tickets seem to be going up daily - no idea how many tickets we will get!! Fans being treated like shit again…..
  • This is actually getting quite irritating now. Why no news on tickets ?
  • It may well be the 15% issue. 15% - When do we want it? Now!! The inner ears at the Club are whispering Wednesday, we shall see.

It's a bit difficult for Charlton to put tickets on sale when Southend haven't released any ticket details yet.

Sounds like you're expecting a big crowd?
  • For anyone willing to gamble on getting a match ticket, Greater Anglia are selling open return tickets on their app and website for Liv St to Southend trains for £12. Pretty sure the offer was meant to close yesterday, but is still showing today.

I reckon it will be around the 7k mark, as it's a been a while since we've we've reached the 1st round proper. If you're feeling a bit anal, this routine from our fans board pulls ticket sales stats from the SUFC Public Servers. It shows sales so far, including away sales. It's not 100% accurate, but it's pretty close. There's a drop down menu for games listed.

Southend get bigger crowds than some league one sides, so with their reduced capacity these days i think this will be close to a sell out.
  • So are we getting just 800 tickets or something more reasonable?
