Not a regular contributor on here and I’m not sure the rules on Just Giving pages but hopefully this post isn’t a problem.
My good friend and former colleague in Charlton’s media team, Iain Liddle, was sadly diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 38 years-old.
It has been incredibly challenging time for him and his family, but one source of support has been Spotlight YOPD, a charity dedicated to helping people navigate the complexities of this condition.
Iain was a really talented, impressive Media Manager in what was a difficult time to work at Charlton and he is still a regular at The Valley.
In 12 days time I’ll be running the Berlin Marathon to raise awareness and funds for Spotlight YOPD and support him as he faces this new chapter of life.
Any donation will make a real difference and thanks so much for your support. 👊

Our dear friend @GlassHalfFull has suffered from Parkinson's for some years, albeit he is now in his 70s and in a lovely Care Home in Tunbridge Wells.
Sadly he is unable to attend matches now but continues to watch via the streams, often alongside his son & grandson who are season ticket holders.
Regardless of his physical limitations he is as sharp as a button and loves to reminisce about all the many many games he attended over the past 60+ years.
We hope to visit him again on Friday so will tell him about Ian, who I'm sure he'll remember.
