Kaheim has put on a stone since joining as he needed to bulk up a bit.  He's done that.  Let him keep doing his thing in the U23s

It is hoped he will be next season's TC
Looking forward to old purple-trousers accepting a thirty-quid-and-two-biscuits offer for TC in the summer then.

Last season, TV improved late on.

i think it’s pointless having leaburn/chucks/Godden and Kanu all in the squad with 3 on the bench. I don’t see the harm in replacing Kanu with Dixon and giving Dixon 10 minutes to try and cause havoc.

he might not be ready for 90 mins but his form in the U-23’s suggests he needs to be tried

    Exactly.

Cameos from the bench are exactly how we should be using him this season, especially with a lack of like for like replacements for TC and Small in the squad.

A raw and unpredictable winger that the opposition know little about, running at tiring and slightly clumsy L1 defenders could easily win a crucial late penalty.

I am not sure I would call Dixon a winger as such. He has been playing inside quite a lot in his recent prolific spell.
There are light years of differences, but I remember back in the day whether you would call Robert Lee just a winger, in a kind of way I relate Dixon positionally to Robert Lee.
I could be way off the mark with this.

Didn't someone mention (might have been in jest) that Sheffield United were looking at TC??? Would make sense if they don't think JRS is going to be available on a permanent.

If the coaching and physical staff can get Dixon to a similar place they got TC to in the off-season it would be a big bonus , think the technical side is there to see already with him.

Yes, though when Mbick is fit there probably won’t be a place for those two and Casey. We have u18s who will be pushing for involvement too, including Sol-Loza who signed pro at 17 earlier this season, and Reuben Reid who scored the other night as a sub, who’s also 16/17.

Jones not playing Dixon, perhaps is a combination of not feeling he's ready OR not wanting to play somebody who was perhaps brought in against his wishes?

Got to love a conspiracy theory.  I heard Jones prefers the Bananarama version of his song but Dixon said he had no taste as clearly the Supremes version is better. There was a big bust up and Jones is refusing to play him until he apologises in front of a packed Valley.

On the contrary - Nathan rates Dixon VERY highly

givw him adequate time to settle in and he’ll let him loose
Agreed Dixon needs time but equally he shouldn’t also just be a case of “give him a year” or “give him a season” I hope Jones and the club haven’t labelled him like that as not only is it a year of the lad’s career he’s probably the next best option to Campbell if he goes down with injury or suspension. Would like to think in that case Dixon would get some game time.

The thing with Dixon is we are not desperate at the moment so don't need to rush him in.

The club know how to manage young players. I'm sure he'll play when he's ready.

Or, Nathan has identified a team and squad that is delivering results when he plays them every game…

It would be interesting to understand some of the negotiation thinking with respect to sell-on fee sharing.
If, for example we believe our player has a better prospect of being more of a galactico than a middle/lower prem player.......... and as we see him day in and day out we should know that better than the buying club (should we?) so do we trade off other stuff in the negotiation (up front money, transfer fee or something) to better the sell-on fee......?

Concur Dixon is probably still developing and we are a team chasing for the play-offs. Don't want to put the pressure on the lad

I wonder how many of the people calling for Dixon have actually watched him play much

Also worth pointing out how good it is we didn't send him out on loan. I'm sure there was temptation to see what he'd be like in senior football but the kid has just moved across the world. Plus not all young players need loans, TC being the perfect example
