  • MANNION: 7 not a lot to do but did well with what he did do
A.MITCHELL: 7 big strong lad.  Part of a very impressive defence
JONES: 8 Won everything in the air.  Different man
GILLESPHEY: 6.5 Got done a few times.  Decent defender and lovely left peg but does turn a bit like an ocean liner
RAMSAY: 8 Outstanding at both ends.  His winger got nothing and Ramsay beat him numerous times.  Could maybe have got forwards a bit more
BERRY: 7Superb when he came on (except for his crossing).  That was more like last season and very much welcomed
Referee 5 quite how Clare stayed on is a mystery.  How hi missed so many blatant pushes and shirt-tugs is beyond me.  Inept

    ANEKE; n/a
    GODDEN/ n/a

Not pretty, set pieces were crap again but that defence is looking very solid right now.  The midfield is busy and industrious - but perhaps not creative enough at the moment.  Up top we it was a real battle against their tough defenders but the stamina won on the day because at the end we were a million times fresher.  I suspect that will become a bit of a theme this season.

I think your post is incomplete. Looks like you’ve accidentally deleted some of it before posting. Half the players aren’t scored and your analysis of Berry looks like it belongs to Small!

In that case scrap it - can't be arsed to type it again as I have shelves to put up.  My login is doing some weird shit lately

  • MANNION: 6.5 - not much to do but took a couple of crosses very well and looks a reliable keeper, with a big physical presence
    A.MITCHELL: 7 - solid
JONES: 8 - another dominant display
GILLESPHEY: 6.5 - got turned a couple of times but generally solid
RAMSAY: 8 - an excellent second half - his runs and those of Small on the other flank, really drove us on
BERRY: 7 - a fairly quiet game but a tremendously composed finish. Let's hope he can provide more of the same, as we've lacked goals from midfield in recent seasons
COVENTRY: 7.5 - reads the game well, made some good interceptions and kept things moving. A strong second half
    DOCHERTY: 5 - disappointing
EDWARDS: 6.5 - strong and robust. One trademark far post headed clearance from a dangerous cross
AHADME: 6 - worked hard and one decent effort at goal but didn't get much in the way of service
CAMPBELL: 7 - his pace really worried Orient
SMALL; 7.5 - has a tendency to sometimes overdo it when running at teams and a couple of his crosses were wayward, but it was good to see him replicating last season's form after a bad night on Tuesday
    Referee: 4 - poor

ANEKE; n/a - made a difference and caused some chaos and panic in the Orient box
GODDEN/ n/a - good to get some minutes under his belt
