  • Think league one will be slightly weaker next season, can only see Plymouth bouncing back and the ones coming up from league two won't be as strong as Wrexham and Stockport.

However I think Huddersfield, Bolton, Barnsley and Wigan will all be better, so let's hope we can get out of it!
Got to consider Reading and Orient as well, the latter have just completed an American takeover.

If anyone gets promoted through the Play-Offs its only Wycombe I hope don't do it, as don't see Dodds lasting long next season.

Andy Holt to step away from Accrington, had a massive falling out with the council it seems.

He's had loads of arguments with the council over the new social club behind the main stand, with all sorts of restrictions due to locals complaining about the noise. I don't know whether their complaints are reasonable or the worst form of nimbyism, but without that extra income and the support of Holt, you can see them sliding back into non league.

Yeah if he is genuinely walking away (he's had various spats with various people on Twitter for years it seems) then I'd expect them to be a National League side.
  • Birmingham beat Mansfield 4-0 to go on to a ridiculous 105 points with a game to go, breaking the L1 record. Another win, and they'll break the EFL record.

They have 2 games left, they have a game in hand at Blackpool in midweek, so should easily smash the record.

They could get to 111 points  :#
  • Wrexham's promotion means that Phil Parkinson moves to six career promotions, now behind only Graham Taylor, Dave Bassett and Jim Smith (seven promotions) and Neil Warnock (eight).

He is of course also still
the only manager to take an English fourth tier club (Bradford) to a major cup final.

  • Burton 1 up against Wigan. A point mathematically confirms their safety, even though they're basically safe because of their goal difference.
  • Burton counting down to being on the beach!
  • Burton captain Ryan Sweeney just been replaced after injuring his knee.
  • Been an amazing comeback from Burton; Gary Bowyer has done a stunning job there
  • Excellent. A happy Valley on Saturday to see out the regular season.
  • Dead rubber really ( yes I know people want home 2nd leg)
    Bouzanis in goal.
    Back three of Watson-Mitchell-McIntyre.
    Dixon RWB
A youth player Rydah etc LWB
Anderson & Gilbert start in midfield.
    Kanu & Mbick/Ahadme up top.
Another space in the middle Enslin/Mwamba
But a strong bench in case results going our way.
A fit as possible squad paramount for the play off lottery.

If we were mid-table with absolutely nothing to play for and no further games until pre-season friendlies, then maybe your team would make sense.
  • I’d be resting Jones, TC, Small and Godden, but that’s it .

And then look complete idiots if there's a winner in the Wycombe game and we've blown top 4 by putting that side out and losing 3-0.

I don't think we'll risk anyone who has a knock, but after Burton there's a week until the play off 1st leg, so it's not like we need to rest everyone. Get the game won and then sub people off.
Top 4 going into the play-offs injury depleted, or 5th go into it with a cleaner bill of health?

Yes I agree that team was extremely weakened, but in principle I think we have to protect our best assets.
  • Underway in the Championship. 2,200 Millwall at Burnley. Coventry and Bristol City wins will keep them out but they are both involved in meaningful games too.
  • Millwall leading at Turf Moor
  • Burnley 0-1 Millwall...
  • Up to 5th as it stands

    1-1 🤣
  • Equaliser straight from kick off. Great persverence too.
