Wycombe winning 9 of their last 11, drawing the other 2 is some going and shows how you get a bit of consistency in this god awful league and you’ll shoot up the table.
To put that into perspective, we have won just 9 league games since NJ took over.

Wycombe have signed quite a few players from non league that have gone on to have an impact in their side. Seem to scout very well on that side of things.
Burnley scored 9 goals in their opening two matches in beating Luton (4-1) and Cardiff (5-0). In their subsequent 13 matches in all competitions, they have found the net just 8 times.

I feel the issues at the club, squad wise, morale, atmosphere, culture etc. were bigger than we thought when he took over and his main objective of keeping us up was achieved. That put him in credit.
I think NJ said a number of times that we will be categorically stronger at the end of the window than we were before, and although I think we are stronger in defence, we are not categorically stronger elsewhere.
I feel that be it NJ’s intent on trying to make us more fluent going forward and/or defensive injuries is hurting us, we have come away from the platform that we had that allowed us to win games. He has now been in charge for 29 league games and the only time we have won by more than a 1 goal margin and kept a clean sheet was against Bolton in August.
We have yet to really dominate any game of football and play decent football throughout and with the quality we have been up against at times, that is concerning.
However, with that all being said, I don’t think NJ has ever played the team he believes would be his strongest. I do not believe that the issues he inherited in February can be resolved in a single transfer window. And for that point alone I am really interested to see what happens in January. Think that will tell us a lot about the ownership and a lot about where NJ sees us at and what he is and isn’t happy with.
I believe we need to see an upturn in results where we can win 3, 4, 5 games in a row and suddenly things will click and our season will look like we might get in the top 6. I do believe he is capable of that, my concern is I am not convinced we have the quality or consistency throughout the team to win 4 or 5 on the spin.
I also feel NJ really needs to bring in his own assistant manager. That’s no dig at Curtis Fleming or the other coaches, but managers rarely are successful in jobs without having at least one of his own working alongside him. The loss of Paul Hart to NJ’s ability to ‘build’ will be hard to measure and is quite likely a reason why he’s signed players like Hylton and Potts etc. as they will help him create what he needs without having an assistant that NJ would prefer.
Ultimately, we are in a far stronger position than we were before but this position is not anywhere close to where we need to be, nor where he wants us to be. Personally, I like NJ and think if we can keep up with the top 6 chasing pack by the end of 2024, we need to see a real statement of intent to kick on because otherwise we will, inevitably, fall short and behind and be a mid table side meaning budget wise, we would have underachieved.
Overall, there are a lot of unknowns and I do feel he is the right man to take us forward. We just need to see signs of kicking on now and so the next 10 league games are absolutely huge for our season.

Guess what - no penalty given.
They're in 5th now after their poor start to the season

Wouldn't be against seeing him in red
Burton stay winless and bottom. Crawley remain in the relegation zone, but are only behind Leyton Orient on goal difference now.
Don't know why, they have one of the richest owners in all football don't they?
